Based on the description in the story and the pictures themselves, it is safe to say that they were written by someone with a conservative bent. When a group of people spends that much time trash talking liberals, you can be pretty sure it isn't because they are moderates.

~FR I do not think this is a "party" action. I do think its a few stupid republicans, or conservatives if you wish, who were venting on facebook. There are also some who took those vents seriously. 3.5 years is a long time for a "joke". How many people took them seriously? Obviously a few did. Looks like random internet assholes talking shit to me, but hang the fuckers, if any of them actually try it. A couple months back, there was a radio commercial airing in California, actively trying to frighten people away from signing petitions at all. I wonder if it would be worth hunting up that thread, to compare how attitudes might have changed, since that one was being sponsored by the unions?

It wouldn't surprise me. Conservative groups have already been busted sending out fake robo-calls in Wisconsin, Ohio, Arizona, I think one other state. Usually they are targeted at areas that are typically democratic and encourage people to vote, then give them the wrong day. One said something about absentee votes already winning the election and there is no need to go to the polls. Something like that, I forget the details, but the information is pretty easy to find It was reported in the real news.
