I will admit, I lived in Hawaii for five years, and the entire time I lived there, I still occasionally called a trip back to the Mainland as a visit "Back to the States".

MR. RHODES: That will include aboriginal leaders as well. Then that concludes the Australia portion of the visit. He will fly that night to Bali and spend the night in Bali.

Then on Friday, November 18th, the President will have a number of bilateral meetings. He will meet with the Prime Minister of India. India, of course, as a rapidly growing economy, as a strong democracy and as an important security partner and counterterrorism partner in South Asia is a very important relationship to the United States. So he and Prime Minister Singh have not had the chance to meet in some time. They’ll have the ability to discuss regional developments, to discuss Afghanistan, to discuss our deepening economic and commercial ties with India, as well as to discuss the East Asia Summit.

Seriously, Luce, keep in mind that some of us aren't interested in gotcha games, and some of us don't live in the forums. If I'm proved wrong on something I've posted, I have no qualms saying "oops" and acknowledging my error... when I see that I've been proven wrong and have the time to comment.

You are correct that the President eventually visited Bali. At the time I made my post, the only thing I was looking for was if he was going straight from Hawaii to Bali. That's why I posted a copy of his schedule showing departure from Hawaii followed by arrival in Australia in the same day. If you'll look at my original post above, I highlighted with bold the portion of your comment for which I was responding.

My intent wasn't to be juvenile with a "neener, neener... you are wrong". If you'll also note, I followed my comment with a

. I meant my post to be more of a "you must be sleepy... his next stop isn't Bali".

My bad. I obviously failed being clear.

I think someone misses George W. Bush being in office and all the strange and amusing gaffs he talked about. Seemed for years, it was normal for the president (Mr. G. W. Bush) to F-up while trying to say two sentences. Other times it was 'Did he REALLY say that, folks'?

First of all you shouldn't end a sentence with the word "of", but that is not the real infraction. You have now invited a discussion of whether or not Hawaii is actually a continent.

Think about it, I know why it's not considered one and it ain't the size, I know that. But if you think about it I betcha it's a young continent. Like a baby continent.

Maybe one we never should have discovered. Before we came they never had a need for five-oh. Or penicillin.
