Had dinner with Shorey at a local tavern tonight.
We're going to the last Rutgers home game of the season tomorrow morning.
Big batch of Bloody Marys all ready to go for a morning tailgate party.
Then down to the beach and football on Sunday along with small house projects.

Putting the "fun" back in "funeral." Anybody know how the TSA is going to feel about a bottle of whisky?

Ah well, me plans for this weekend? Naught out of the ordinary, find a bird, down a few pints, smoke some of what you're not supposed to, toss her about some and then little of the old in and out.

It takes an American to really refine English :

Hit some bars, burn a couple hog legs and try to find some pootang.

We do not prioritize con-sequentially in sentences. (except in the joint)

Well, the weekend is nearly over ... but the end plans are coming to fruition.  Kin and kith arriving now and over the next couple hours.  We've got dinner with all sorts of good food, Pheasant and trout being the centerpiece of the meal, homemade bread, rice etc ... I've been told one lady is bringing some late season green tomatoes so we can actually have some fried green tomatoes ... nice.  Home brew and some other homemade potables.  We got a fire for s'mores and the obligatory sitting around, bonding and singing.  I am neither musician nor singer but fortunately some of my guests are quite talented.  To sum it up I plan to end my weekend with those I love best and hold most dear enjoying the weather, our blessings and the company of each other.

LOL... I had M for a day and a half then was on my cycle for a 20.8 mile cycle trip. No idea how many calories I ate or burned..... but the English countryside on a sundrenched autumnal day is hard to beat.

Played Monopoly with my 8yr old grandson for 2.5 hrs which generated 100 percent love factor. Then I slipped into bed with the small creature and watched a disney movie about Mouse Detectives.

Although I dozed through significant tracts of it, I did get woken by his little finger tapping my nose.....lol

Apparently the baddie *plays the harp with grace and is quite a fine actor* but I'm really not as well up on Disney movies as my grandson is, clearly.

The highlight of the weekend was this adorable little chap placing his arms around my neck and saying * I wish for more of this, Nanna, playing monopoly and THIS.....( as he pressed his nose to mine and held my face).

There's nothing, but NOTHING better than knowing that you are a significant person in the lives of small people that have the entire electronic world at their disposal.  Ruben chose Monopoly with Nanna over every other option. Yeah, good times.
