Hi techno-savvy folks,

The "You are the remote" feature of the PSP has stirred up a lot of longing in our household. I have a 13 yr old and an almost 11 year old, and we currently have a Wii. I would say the thing that we use it most for are the "Just Dance" type games. The idea of having a remote-free system sounds really less cumbersome, more fun. Does the PSP work as well as they show on tv?

Does anyone know if Wii has any plans to release something similar? I imagine if it was going to happen this year, it would have happened already.

Any informed comments or opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

There's a video about the Wii U that was debuted at E3 -- I don't think it's totally portable like the PSP is, but I might be wrong. I don't really remember all the specs. =p
You're supposed to be able to use it to play games with your Wii while the rest of the family can still watch TV. The screen lets you interact with games in different ways, too.

We have both, and though the kids enjoyed the novelty of psp, they seem to still go back to the wii for the most part.

the WiiU isn't a portable system like the PSP, it is the next Wii, it's main controller is the one with the screen but it will also use the same wii controllers
