Erie ... it's OWS people making fun of the product... if you do the mouse-over you'll see some very uncharacteristic picture that prove that out.

Tune in some night on live feed to OWS NYC or Oakland... there's a couple of people who'll do pepper gas schtick... It's kind of one of those things that happens in your mind when you've been sprayed or teargassed a few times and haven't backed down.

Why? Sure, the comments are funny, but would you deny a woman the ability to defend herself against an attempted rapist, or a walker the ability to ward off a savage dog, because you don't like the way the product has been used recently? That strikes me as sad and wrong.

I casually used this product to try to disperse a small band of non-violent campers who had locked their arms together. Although initially it seemed to be effective, it took two applications! The worst part is that the next day they multiplied exponentially! Now what?

One positive outcome, I did receive a paid vacation for my efforts.

I bought pepper spray from Amazon when I slept in a tent in the woods for an extended period. I also used to carry it when I walked on a dark golf course at night. I never needed it, but was glad to have it.
