I guess you dont know how Treasury auctions work. Not a fucking thing was "handed to China" except trade....trade that satisied the demand for cheaper products. Try and blame that on the GOP.

Do you mean the same GOP that previously branded China as the great Communist menace?

And it wasn't "the demand for cheaper products", it was American companies wanting to cash in on a vast market and exploit cheap labor.

Funny, I didnt remember that JFK and LBJ were in the GOP.

And here's an economics lesson for you: there is no market without demand.

Let's just look at a few of these:First President to refuse to show a valid birth certificate.
Actually, he was the first President ever to show a valid birth certificate. And he did it twice. First President who was asked to show a valid birth certificate - which he did.First President who has had a group of people tell him that his birth certificate wasn't valid.
First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student, then deny he was a foreigner.
The Fulbright Scholarship, which is what I assume you're talking about, is not for undergrads, which is what Obama was at Occidental. It's for grad students.
First President to have a social security number from a state he has never lived in.
It's his SSN. If it wasn't the IRS would have flagged him on it sometime in the last 30 years.
First President to order a secret amnesty program stopping the deportation of illegal immigrants, including those with criminal convictions.
Has deported more illegal immigrants than Bush.
First President to encourage racial discrimination and intimidation at polling places.
there is no evidence that Obama has even been one of the Presidents who has encouraged discrimination against voters of the wrong race, but the claim that he is somehow first isn't even coherent enough to be wrong - it's just nonsense. First President to appoint 45 Czars to replace elected officials.
Bush had more.
First President to hide his medical, educational and travel records.
He didn't hide anything. Federal and state privacy laws prohibit their release.
First President to go on 17 lavish taxpayerpaid vacations, Wednesday date nights, and WH parties for friends.
Paid for them out of his own pocket.
First President to have 22 taxpayerpaid personal servants for his wife.
Laura Bush had a larger staff. First President to publicly bow to America's enemies while refusing to salute the U.S. Flag.
Bowing is a sign of respect in some cultures. Nothing wrong with it.
finding more but i do have a life

Who was it that got us involved in Vietnam?

Can you say "I like Ike"?

And here is an economics lesson for you, when you outsource you remove the source of income from those who will then be unable to buy those products.

Put a history book and an economics book on your Christmas list.

History: Eisenhower opposed military intervention in Vietnam. Meanwhile, "John F. Kennedy, then a U.S. Senator, said in a speech to the American Friends of Vietnam: "Burma, Thailand, India, Japan, the Philippines and obviously Laos and Cambodia are among those whose security would be threatened if the Red Tide of Communism overflowed into Vietnam"

Economics: The income lost is offset by the cheaper prices for all consumers, allowing them to buy OTHER products, the production of which offsets the job loss. You cant increase economic activity by causing people to pay higher prices than the natural (and global) market would otherwise pay. It is fucking impossible.

FROM ADVISERS TO TROOPS At first, the United States supported South Vietnam with only money and military advisers. The number of advisers in Vietnam jumped from 800 to nearly 17,000 during the early 1960s while John F. Kennedy was U.S. president. In 1964, U.S. president Lyndon B. Johnson reported that North Vietnam had attacked U.S. Navy ships along Vietnam's coast. Nearly 80,000 U.S. troops were in South Vietnam by the end of 1965. . The United States conducted a brutal air war against North Vietnam. In one year, the air force flew 150,000 bombing missions. By 1967, the United States had dropped more bombs on North Vietnam than it dropped on its enemies during World War II (1939-1945). By 1969, at the height of the war, the United States had about 543,000 troops in Vietnam. Many of them were teenagers. The average age of Americans fighting in Vietnam was 19.

Tax cuts didnt go to their "supporters" unless there are a lot of GOP members in the 10% of the population that were added to those paying no taxes.

I guess you also don't know that the economic problems stem primarily from subprime mortgages that the Dems blackmailed banks into writing and that lined the pockets of Dem pals that head Freddie and Fannie?

And I guess you dont know that "outsourcing" is impossible to avoid in a global economy, and its the clown currently in the White House who is doing nothing to ensure that trade is on a level playing field.

Im sure you dont have memory of any of that, because you never had a fucking clue what youre talking about.

Welcome to P&R, itsDUMBtome

.....I see u use as per usual the name calling of a GOP who knows their party is wrong.....

I guess u dont know that by having open-ended tax cuts FOR TEN YEARS that alow the wealthy to use the cuts NOT for job creation (the current reason to not raise taxes on "job creators") but to buy overseas goods, or create or OUTSOURCE jobs overseas FOR YEARS caused the recession long before the current president showed up. If all the Bush tax cuts from day one, were structured like the Veterans jobs bill just signed, where a company that hires a vet gets tax incentives, the economy wouldnt be as much the sorry state its in. u never hear about balancing the budget from the GOP, untill a Democrat is in the the White House.

and really? the less people laid off or their jobs Outsourced, the banks wouldnt have had nearly the failure rate because people would of been able to make their payments even in the face of wacky interest rates. Hell, the only

Five myths about the Bush tax cuts

u can tell Me HOW China bought the national debt all u like, the GOP economic policies that created the debt in the 1st place for China to be able to buy it - IS the problem brought on by the GOP. As Long as America lets the wealthy buy BMW's instead creating US jobs and even those jobs are low paying, no benefit, service jobs, there will not ever be a level playing field. And letting japan build plants here dont count because ultimately the profits dont do anything for the USA's GNP. If we dont make anything here , we cant ship anything out.

u are the dumb one if u dont have a clue the TEN YEARS Bush tax cuts only widend the Rich/Poor economic Gap that ensures the recession will continue because it ensures the poor cant pay taxes, & the middle class pays for everything, because the wealthy dont have to.

Popeye, President Obama did do something about the US health care system. He should've pushed harder for single-payer health care though. Democrats have tried to pass numerous jobs bills and Republicans kept voting no. With Republicans controlling the House, Obama's hands are tied on many things. The big mistakes I see Obama making is trying to police the world, which is something Republicans have been doing for years, interfering when states make laws to drive illegal immigrants away, and giving in to Republicans too much. Republicans are willing to let the economy completely collapse just to get Obama out of office. Republicans also want the US debt to be paid off by the poor and dwindling middle class instead of increasing taxes on the rich. Republicans protect the rich who have had tax breaks for years and responded by laying off American workers and creating jobs in China and India. Republicans also hate unions. Obama isn't perfect, but Republicans are far worse.

Well gee DBG, the Democrats have been doing a bang up job of bailing out rich corporations, banks and brokerages for the last three years!
Oblunder is the best friend Wall Street has had in decades.
And then there's "Solyndra." Oh yeah, plenty of "transparency" going on there!
And look at Nancy Pelosi's brother who "mysteriously" got almost a billion dollars of taxpayer dollars.
Plenty of room for blame in Washington, D.C.

Well fuck me, you cant even get this right.

First, its brother in law.

Second, he is an investor in the company, he doesnt own it, he doesnt run it, he isnt the only investor.

The SolarReserve project is backed by an energy investment fund where the Minority Leader's brother-in-law Ronald Pelosi is second in command.

Ok, "brother-in-law".
And where did I say that he "owned" the co.?
Yeah, I guess he didn't benefit from *any* of that taxpayer money.
Funny, if you forget to pay for a sandwich in Hawaii  (or as Oblunder calls it, "Asia") you get arrested but steal a billion or so of the taxpayer's money and nothing happens!
How's all that "transparency" working out?

Money went to the company, right?

Then how did the bro-in-law get the money unless he owns the company?

He doesnt, so he didnt get the money, as you stated.

Obama bailing out the banks pissed me off too, but I think a Republican president would've done the same. The truth is, both parties are responsible for what happened to the US economy (NAFTA was signed by Clinton, but written by Republicans - many people don't realize that). I prefer the Democratic party because fewer of them are against unions and single-payer health care, but I do agree with Republicans on illegal immigration and marriage penalties. What I want to see is a presidential candidate that wants to end free-trade deals and get rid of illegal immigration, but is also pro union and single-payer health care. If there's ever a candidate that fits that description, I'll vote for him or her, regardless of political party.
