gungadin09 -> I am thankful for... (11/24/2011 12:16:57 AM)

My job.
A place to live.
People who care about me, and forgive me my faults.
Toilet paper, indoor plumbing, hot running water, clean underwear.
A sense of humor.
My health.
My parents.
Being better off than i was a year ago.
California winters.
Walking down Christmas tree lane on opening night.
Hot tea.
Getting enough sleep.
Having survived puberty.
Not having to style my hair.

What a delightful thread Pam, thank you!

There are so many things in my life I am thankful for.

Most of all, my family. Especially my kids, their kids, and the knuckle head sitting across the room from me.

All of the people that have touched my life. Every single one.

The way my life has evolved from lost and dirt poor, not comfortable in my own skin to less poor and very happy with me.

My health and strength, both mentally and physically.

The way my brain works. It used to cause me a lot of problems, still does on occasion, but now that I recognize it's oddities, I've learned to see it as positive rather than negative.

Humour, in myself and others. There isn't much that happens I cannot find a way to get a laugh out of it.......if just for myself. Which ties into the strong thread of constant joy that always runs through my life. Even in times of great difficulty, I have joy.

With those things.......everything else is possible.

i am thankful for my boy, he's all i've got to show for the last 39 years and he's amazing.

for the rain that stopped the muck heap catching fire when the twats tried to burn my stables down with my mare still inside.

for paracetamol, tissues, and koff candy twist that are helping me through my cold.

for the very few people around me who actually care enough to check in and ask how i am when things are shit.

for my car.

for my home while i still have it.

for the little moments such as; the robin at my field coming to me when i call him, a text wishing me a good day, the boy making me a drink and such that make the day better.

there's alot more i could put here with some thought. i think i could everyday, but sometimes i lose sight as the crap takes over.

good thread!

I am thankful for the GIFT of family - those by blood and those of the heart.

I am thankful for another day to pursue my dream of a college education - no matter how long it takes.

I am thankful for having "enough" today. I have more than some and less than others, but I have "enough".

I am thankful for being part of this amazing community, with all its quirky participants. You make me think.....and dream.

I am thankful for the pleasure that people can offer: whether they be your friends or just some strangers on the street.
I am thankful for tastebuds.
I am thankful for what we have learnt and how we can use that to discover new and interesting things.
I am thankful for this life, that i never take it for granted.
I am thankful for the new people i'm meeting and how they are influencing me in positive ways.

I am thankful for the ability to both laugh and cry. Hate and love. To be able to feel.

I am thankful that there is beauty all around us. Though some in horrifying ways.

I am thankful that my girls who are both working today, will have the same time off tomorrow so we can have Thanksgiving as a family even if it is a day late.

I am most thankful for:

Clean, safe water with which to drink, cook, wash and bathe
A roof over my head
Heat to keep me warm/alive
The air I breathe
The food that sustains/pleases me
Those that have come before me and paved my way
Those that love and challenge me
The dark times that made life a living hell
The good times that blew my heart, mind and body wide open
A good, strong sex drive
Being awakened to my submissive nature, and BDSM
Being a woman
Being open, warm, playful, witty, strong, challenging, empathic, smart, gentle, sensitive, loyal
Being able to give and receive
My new friends here on this site
My two silly cats
