Eh. You can read about technique and how other people do it and you can learn how pain affects some people, safety procedures and warning signs...but you need to try it yourself to learn anything about how it's done, how you react and what you need. Fetlifegroups are wonderful places to look for information. Safety procedures, aftercare and types of activities would be a good place to start. Most activities that would be S&M aren't necessarily labeled that way. You should also be aware that S&M and D/s are not always intimately connected. As the people that have done it, go to a play party o a group if you're comfortable and when you're ready, try it. Most of the PDF books I've found are fiction...either wank fantasies that completely disregard realism or they're Harlequin plus chains.
