I met someone and I am trying to close my account, but I keep deleting my account, It says account closed but then it still shows and I am still getting messages
how can I close my account for good?

stay away from it for 2 weeks. no signing into it, no "I just wanna make sure it's closed", etc, for two weeks.

The best advice is to completely remove any information you have on the profile, click Hide profile,
and then Close Account. I don't know the time frame for the servers to erase the info completely,
but you aren't helping the cause when you continue to sign into it. :)

I think I figured out something.

People who want to close their account probably are prompted to do so becasue they get an email anytime someone replies to their posts or sends them a cmail.

In fact I discovered recently that my AOL account is still good even though I don't use it for pay for it. I was looking for an old email, and BTW AOL 7 will run without being installed. I just run WAOL.EXE from program files from a drive about three clones ago, or more. But recently I found out that sumbitch can still actually connect !

WOW, I can do AOL chatrooms ! Neato.
