The ones I got wrong I knew I was unsure of, but I was strong and didn't google.

I got 28 out of 33 correct. 84.85%.

Some of the ones i missed I should have got right. I'm glad they didn't start asking me to match significant events and the dates they happened.

I got exactly the same score but I "missed" different questions.

"International trade and specialization most often lead to which of the following?
Your Answer: a decrease in a nation’s standard of living
Correct Answer: an increase in a nation’s productivity"

I disagree, fukum. Look around, you see anyone's standrd of living increasing lately ?

"Question: A flood-control levee (or National Defense) is considered a public good because:
Your Answer: citizens value it as much as bread and medicine
Correct Answer: a resident can benefit from it without directly paying for it"

Bullshit, we all pay for it. Some pay more than others but thaat's the breaks. And when it comes to levies, try your fancy bread and medicine when you are UNDER WATER.

"Question: If taxes equal government spending, then:
Your Answer: government debt is zero
Correct Answer: tax per person equals government spending per person on average"

The composers of that test have alot to learn about modern accounting, especially when it comes to the government.

"Question: Which of the following fiscal policy combinations has the federal government most often followed to stimulate economic activity when the economy is in a severe recession?
Your Answer: decreasing both taxes and spending
Correct Answer: decreasing taxes and increasing spending"

That assumes the credit is available and the debt service is possible. Debt service is now a VERY good size portion of the federal budget. How much interest do you want to pay ?

"Question: The United States Electoral College:
Your Answer: was ruled undemocratic by the Supreme Court
Correct Answer: is a constitutionally mandated assembly that elects the president"

Yeah, oh well. I guessed. I know the court does not rule on whether something is democratic or not. You should've seen the other answers.

"Question: In 1935 and 1936 the Supreme Court declared that important parts of the New Deal were unconstitutional. President Roosevelt responded by threatening to:
Your Answer: override the Supreme Court’s decisions by gaining three-quarter majorities in both houses of Congress
Correct Answer: appoint additional Supreme Court justices who shared his views"

That was also - not even a guess. I read the options and none of them sounded right. I know FDR stacked the supreme court, I know what happened and when I see that MF in hell I will be on the torture team. Wilson opened the door, FDR spotted the truck backing in to take our wealth. (in this context spotting means an outside guy to watch when a bog semi has to back up)

"Question: What was the main issue in the debates between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen A. Douglas in 1858?
Your Answer: Do Southern states have the constitutional right to leave the union?
Correct Answer: Would slavery be allowed to expand to new territories?."

Ain't that pretty much same difference ? Can these MFs tell us what to do or not ?

Missed 5... as much respect as I don't at all have for the collegiate system, I would say that it would take an act of God to have professors (or anyone else graduate educated) to get an average of 55% on that.

My question with regard to most of the stuff on the test would be, "Who cares?"

And I'll argue some of the ones I missed. I mean really:

Free markets typically secure more economic prosperity than government’s centralized planning because:

Your Answer:
more tax revenue can be generated from free enterprise
Correct Answer: the price system utilizes more local knowledge of means and ends

I have advanced degrees in this sort of stuff and my answer is much better than theirs. yeah, the local price system is usually better, but not always (say, economies of scale become involved.) under capitalism whereas free market economies have, IIRC, always outperformed central planning economies over the long haul-thus they create more tax dollars.

30 / 33 = 90.91%  HEY!  That's crappy math.  My score is "really" 91%.  Expressing a score to so many decimal places is simply wrong.

The ones I knew, I really KNEW.  Ex: Jefferson papers for seperation of Church and State.  I had that marked before I even finished reading the question.  Then took time to review to make sure not a "trick" question.

Two of the three wrong were math / government economics.  As pointed out above, LOTS of interpretation in those Q&A.

I got the Roe vs. Wade question wrong.  Not too worried about the SCOTUS building being stormed.

Their bias is obvious, but I do not have a problem with it. They seem to be for us, not "them". "They" will collectivise everything no matter what the will of the people.

Free markets are not fair matkets, and people with a third grade education saw that many years ago. They knew that you have to sell something to make money. People ain't so smart anymore. They think by pushing the same pile of money around that somehow it will grow, when in reality all it is doing is picking up dirt.

But they are the experts and we are wrong and the world is in the shitter.

I yield the floor at this time. To the shitter.
