Hi everyone,

my Mistress and i have decided to turn a room at our home into a play space. W/we are looking for ideas of what to have in our new play space. Looking for ideas about decor, furniture (regular and bondage/torture) etc, etc. Also looking for any ideas to be innovative with bondage as to not require as much bondage furniture. The room is 10' 5" x 10 7" with a drop down ceiling tile, ceiling. W/we are also trying to keep it somewhat discrete to the untrained eye. Any ideas would be very helpful. W/we look forward to hearing your ideas. Thanks.

I think you are saying you want a dugeon that doesn't look like a dungeon. So here are some ideas. A coffee table can double as a spanking bench with the addition of a cushion that fits the top. You may even be able to add some discreet anchor points underneath or on the legs. A nicely finished sawhorse can hold a nice quilt or blanket and again be used to tie someone down. Even a St Andrews cross can double as a plant stand with several plants hanging from the eye bolts.

Foxy Furniture has plans for furniture that can double as vanilla stuff, if you're hanndy and like to build things.

Eyebolts on the wall are simply and eliminate the need for a bulky cross and you just hang a picture off of it. As someone mentioned a coffee table or even a futon are a passable replacement for a spanking bench but are a bit low. Chairs with removable cushions can be converted to interesting play furnitureas well, queening and cbt become easy.

I put an electric fireplace in mine and I want to find some replacement wall sconces that look like torches. I have a paddes sitting bench that looks quite elegant and hidden eye hooks on the walls.

I have an armoire that when closed, just looks like a nice piece of furniture that holds a TV or clothes. Open it up, and I've outfitted the insides with all sorts of hooks for hanging floggers, etc plus all the drawer space where I can lay out other equipment. It's perfect to just pop open in a playspace and have all your goodies at your fingertips.

You didn't mention a closet, but I am willing to assume. If I make an ass of myself, I will have company.

Pull up a mental sketch of some guy, you perhaps, standing in a closet. Clearly, there is a place for an eyescrew at each ankle. Another at each wrist. A third pair at shoulder hight. A fourth a foot or so above that. And perhaps three in the ceiling, right, left and center. I suggest it might be a bad idea to mount such screws in the back wall, because a person bounced off that wall would stand an excellent chance of a genuine injury. And that would suck.

You might also upgrade the door to an exterior type door, strong, with an appropriate lock, one that can only be locked from outside. This lock need not have a key but will require the jam be upgraded too.

Second notion : Consider the possibilities of mood lighting. A dimmer costs little and, if you know your basic electricity, it's a very easy project.

Best wishes.
FF

Thank you everyone! These are some great ideas so far and W/we will be using some of them! W/we are hoping for and looking forward to more of these great ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions for decor?

Get wall bars like they have in physical education and just decorate them with plants hanging from them, tons of ideas for bondage and all that and pretty simple to camouflage, keep the furniture simple, functional and sturdy and you can actually turn it into a guest room, decorate it how you want it, might actually be a kick to have it decorated as romantic and harmless as possible, while both of you know the true purpose...

I have been actively looking for a church for some time... sigh...

Preferably with confessional ready to be turned into a glory hole... lol.

A play space is generally set up with the type of play you enjoy. You wouldn't have a medical room if you don't like that sort of thing. So know what it is you both want first then decided on the equipment. If that fails get the basic stuff. There are lots of alternative furniture companies online. You'll find many items double up and can be folded if you need to be discreet.
