Gee, I wonder if "BAE Systems" (a legal person) is board certified in psychiatry?
It would seem that selling sniper scopes to PAKISTAN is a little fucking "unbalanced" don't you think?

Indeed he has both a chance and the right. Unfortunately this Marine to my knowledge has not availed himself to the Marine Corps League and at this time does not have access to its data bases but within those data bases are hundreds and hundreds of companies that at one time or another had policies against hiring former Marines. Companies that have fought and lost case after case in court rooms not only in this country but all over the world.

Even President Roosevelt’s wife headed movements after the Second World War to not allow Marine Raiders; (Battalions that were disbanded at the end of the second.) back into the country.

Certainly this Marine has support, support of far greater significance then legal representation or the courts of this land if he will only align himself with his brothers.

I think in this case he does have a chance because the people who didn't hire him told him what was said and by whom. That's usually not the case. He'll need to prove he doesn't have a drinking problem or mental instability.

In May 2011, Meyer gave his two weeks notice to BAE Systems and applied to return to Ausgar Technologies. He was approved by the U.S. government for the job, but the Ausgar hiring manager informed Meyer that he would not be hired because of allegations made by [BAE Systems manager Bobby McCreight, his former co-worker]

If he doesn't get rehired and can prove these allegations are false, he may have a case for slander, IIRC; perhaps someone will outline what one needs to do to prive slander.

Arienos is active in Marine organizations and may have access to info the rest of us do not.

I was able to find a hint of controversy about the Raiders (but nothing but favorable connections to Mrs. Roosevelt):

Admiral Ernest King, Chief of Naval Operations, concurred in the proposal, and Vandegrift ordered the change on 8 January 1944...

Which employer? BAE or Ausgar?

He will have a very difficult time proving a case against BAE because it is based on hearsay.
He will have a hard time getting a job at Ausgar if a job offer is normally done via an "At will" state sub.

Fuck the whole "whistle blowing" concept. If a potential employer calls BAE and they're telling them the guy has a dependency and a psyche record... The man has a case worth investigation.
Besides, taking a stand against a Corporation engaged in selling weaponry to shitheads who hate America and the West in general isn't really often against any law.
Doesn't make what the young marine did any less courageous. He took one for the Corps in Iraq, And took one for them (and us) again when he got home. Seems to be a recurring theme lately. Guess you can't switch valor off like a lamp.

Nonsense... if this McCreight was employed by BAE at the time he made remarks such as that to any potential employer willing to state as much under oath, and it's the basis for the hiring manager turning him down... Throw 'Hearsay' around all you want. Lawyers bring cases on this basis all the time. He won't have to ever go to the stage of a judge determining if the evidence submitted is hearsay. They'll have loads of fun posturing that way, but in the end they'll settle.
