More Now Disagree with Tea Party – Even in Tea Party Districts.

More likely...people are just less supportive of republicans in general.

http://www.people-press.org/2011/11/29/more-now-disagree-with-tea-party-%E2%80%93-even-in-tea-party-districts/

"Since the 2010 midterm elections, the Tea Party has not only lost support nationwide, but also in the congressional districts represented by members of the House Tea Party Caucus. And this year, the image of the Republican Party has declined even more sharply in these GOP-controlled districts than across the country at large."

Dont blame the party. They backed people who made them promises... and all those people have delivered is the word "no"

How long, I wonder, till it splits internally and disintegrates into feuding sects? That (and child sex scandals) are the seemingly inevitable fate for this sad manipulated bunch of people, if history is anything to go by.

Such a shame that they failed to identify their real enemies, or to find strategies and goals that might deliver them decent outcomes. Their misguided, grossly inadequate ideology guaranteed that.

No, Im pointing out that Occupy Whatever can't appoint themselves the representatives of those of us in the 99% that think they are clueless.

It's just a slogan, they are wont to overgeneralize, whether by being overinclusive or underinclusive.

Slogans that are ridiculous lies dont get a pass, just because they are "just slogans". If they change it to "We are the 32%, sorta" they might have more credibility.

You must absolutely loathe Miller High Life's slogan, then.

Indeedies.

As I understand it, the Tea Party was a loose coalition of groups that ranged from the looney Right to some mainstream Republicans. It could be rash to expect such people will learn the lessons they need to learn from this experience.

On a more positive note, there are lessons here for the OWS movement, if it's savvy enough to learn them.
