It's just a slogan, they are wont to overgeneralize, whether by being overinclusive or underinclusive.

Slogans that are ridiculous lies dont get a pass, just because they are "just slogans".

Like "Fair and Balanced"?

Not according to the public.

After debt-ceiling crisis

After the debt-ceiling crisis, polls became more unfavorable to the Tea Party.[197][198] According to a Gallup poll, 28% of adults disapproved of the Tea Party compared to 25% approving, and noted that "[t]he national Tea Party movement appears to have lost some ground in popular support after the blistering debate over raising the nation's debt ceiling in which Tea Party Republicans...fought any compromise on taxes and spending".[197] Similarly, a Pew poll found that 29% of respondents thought Congressional tea party supporters had a negative effect compared to 22% thinking it was a positive effect. It noted that "[t]he new poll also finds that those who followed the debt ceiling debate very closely have more negative views about the impact of the Tea Party than those who followed the issue less closely."[198] A CNN/ORC poll put disapproval at 51% with a 31% approval.[199]

You can only stand a broken glass butt plug for so long.... the Tea Party's day has come.

Ouch, that must have hurt!
New "sport" in Boston?
I didn't think the T.P. needed any outside support.

This just shows the influence that the MSM has over the general public. Anyone who voted for a TP Congressman and followed the debt ceiling debate had their vote confirmed. Poll them, not adults or registered voters who didnt understand the TP issues in the first place.

mnottertail -> RE: Tea-party losing support.... (12/1/2011 2:02:27 PM)

what laughable asswipe that is.  MSN didnt have a fucking thing to do with the ineptitude and intransigence of the 'republican' teabagging house.

And defunding the health care law

Slavehandsome -> RE: Tea-party losing support.... (12/1/2011 2:07:10 PM)

The Tea Partiers are busy helping Occupy Wall Street. Its the same group. Its taxpayers wanting some justice, and only the corporate media tries to put a label separating the two groups. Its the same Americans.

Their issues overlap but they are far from the same Americans.

I didnt say they didnt hold some of the same values. I said Occupy is not promoting or supporting any political group. Many are coming out in support of OWS.. which I find extremely telling.
