Mostly unnamed, nonspecific charges, allegations emanating from around people connected in one way or another to Obamas inner circle, charges from people with questionable motives...

On one hand leftists screamed that character doesnt matter. On the other, they claim thats all that matters

Yeah, its all got a very seedy feeling to it. Like the Chicago machine pulled out all of its biggest guns to stop this guy on account of his race, and that no one on the left really gives a shit about anything that they pretend to care about.

Its as if weve sunk another notch or two as a nation in our politics

Why does a candidates private sexual life matter in 2011 if it didnt matter in 1996

What surprised me was to find out how long he went without contact with his wife after White came forward. Its their marriage... just sorta surprised me is all.

As to the rest, his color plays no part in how he is viewed... which is why I refuse to comment directly to that allegation.

First Firm, then MSAL, then Sanity and ABM, and even willbe.

The race card is fine to toss, as long as they are tossing it.

How quickly they forget that they were railing against the voters who put Obama into office... only because he was black.

The fact that he was black didn't matter -- what mattered was that he was riding the pinnacle of ineptitude while running for the most powerful office in our country.

He thought he was being slick when he back peddled his way through every "misspeak" he made.

He thought he could get away with slamming the first woman.

Three strikes... that was his last... and with each attack he and his campaign launched against each woman, another came out.. and stated that was the reason for her speaking up. He had the option of plausible deniability. His signature wasnt on a single piece of paper. He could have said.. dont know what you are talking about... I didnt have any knowledge of these accusations... then refused to discuss something he wasnt a party too. And had he simply left it at that, he might have weathered this storm.

Instead he tried to use corporate tactics... attack before bening attacked. That simply doesnt work in politics.

And Obama was a foreign policy expert on day one?

Obama never misspoke?

His dishonesty regarding "the reverend" Wright wasnt an issue?

Clintons lies werent an issue?

I find this post to be very disingenuous of you, and the attitude reflected in it displays the hypocrisy of the left in general. There are absolutely two very separate standards at work here, and in my opinion it is the basis of the very ugly politics that we see in the United States today.

Everyone misspeaks. Not everyone blames stupid comments borne from ignorance on a "misspeak" which is why that word was in quotes.

Clinton was spanked for his lies. Impeached by the House, suspended from practicing law for 5 years.

Obama's "dishonesty" regarding Reverend White is an issue you should explore.

Sanity is entitled to his opinion of my words. They matter little as they are merely his opinion and not fact.

My issue with Cain started with the abortion issue. Something I have posted before, many times. Something I believe deeply is between a woman and her Doctor... something that is a protected right by the Supreme Court. Something I will not keep quiet about when a politician flip flops about that issue as much as Cain did.

Im sure others have issues with Cain that has nothing to do with abortion. Their issues are not mine. But when a man who is running for the highest office in the land wants to make illegal something woman have fought for decades, and won the right to obtain, then, yeah, I got issues with him.

Status: offline 		Look, dude, when I was doing student congress debates, I went out of my way to familiarize myself with all kinds of things about foreign policy, current events, whatever the heck I could get my hands on. I had a file box I carried around with articles in it, I took notes and cut up newspapers, I looked things up, and read everything I could find.
And student congress didn't matter!

Why can't a guy who's running for a REAL office, in a REAL country, with REAL issues do the same? :p
He SHOULD know this stuff. He SHOULD be held to a higher standard. If there's some high schooler doing congress roleplay better than him, he's FAILING. full stop.

His personal life is what it is. His lack of
knowledge is what it is.
He was out of his league and in over his head.
The higher ups in the Republican party

serious candidate. Neither did most of the
press, he was just a flavor of the month.
The only people who thought he was a viable

I don't know, why don't you tell us since you keep bringing up Clinton's problems?

My problem with Cain had nothing to do with his personal issues.

It was his complete lack of political experience and his inability to speak effectively.

But I do find it amazingly hypocritical that those who denounced Clinton for his personal issues are now insisting that Cain's are of no consequence.
