I'm not a serious contortionist, I just like to play with natural flexibility, and try to enhance it in small ways, but really -- nothing major. However, this little site helped a lot when I was increasing flexibility for backbends for dance (yoga was great for that, too). http://members.fortunecity.com/tchbse/index/ It was linked to a dance fitness site from someone who found it interesting -- Exercise 3 for backbends was really helpful to me, and I didn't find it all that strenuous. You just go slowly, and maintain a realistic outlook. For the record, I'm not recommending that anyone tries any of this, I'm not claiming to be a medical professional, or anything like that. Anything you do, you do at your own risk.
