Ashor's right, I don't think there is a consensual sex scene anywhere in this trilogy. The book was a murder mystery, rather than erotic. The music is from the new American version. If you want spoilers, the original Swedish version can be found in the usual places. Not a good date movie :)

I agree, that's my kinda movie.
Really? The heroine is an abused lesbian who doesn't sleep with the hero. And her only sex scenes are realistically unsexy rape scenes. The baddies are misogynists who make lust seem a character flaw and every man seem a secret member of an anti-female conspiracy.
This is what a lesbian would watch with a straight girl, if she wanted to scare her off men.
And most importantly it's a film with cold people in a cold place. It's "Daisy Diamond" cold, it makes "Let the Right One In" seem warm and cosy in comparison. It's great at the murder conspiracy , but not for dates.
And a good date movie, even sick and depraved, should be hot blooded, passionate, with devilish style. It should leave your date flushed and feeling a little sexy bad.
I dunno, somehow this doesn't seem the type of movie that'll flood a straight girl with the sexy hormones. Prove me wrong
I can't see how the story is misogynistic as the women are clearly victims of men, who are monsters almost without exception - the sort of thing Andrea Dworkin would appreciate. I saw one interesting critique albeit clearly it's not a neutral source.
