Owner59 -> Mitt`s soft white underbelly.... (12/5/2011 7:59:13 AM)

Apparently Mitt is a press dodger and hostile, uncomfortable and defensive when he does grant an interview.

I didn`t think about it till recently but Mitt seems have problems dealing with the media. The fox interview he did and what happened after the interview say something about Mitt other than complete control freak.

"Mitt Romney Runs From Another Reporter At Fox News Forum"

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/05/mitt-romney-media-nyt_n_1129097.html

"Mitt Romney's anti-press campaign is creating some, well, bad press for the Republican presidential candidate.

Romney has drawn attention for his testy, limited interactions with the media. Last week, he got angry enough with Fox News host Bret Baier after an interview that Baier publicly called him out about it.

Now, New York Times reporter Jim Rutenberg has relayed another embarrassing incident for Romney. Fox News allowed Rutenberg to sit backstage as Romney and several other candidates waited to participate in a forum hosted by the network's Mike Huckabee on his Saturday show. Rutenberg writes that, while Newt Gingrich chatted happily with him, Romney and his aides treated him as if he was a leper, and reacted in comically over-the-top fashion:

Spotting the reporter, Mr. Romney’s aides sprang into action, asking where he worked and what he was doing there, and then insisting that he not physically approach Mr. Romney before or after he was questioned on television by the attorneys general and Mr. Huckabee.

The incident is another example of the increasingly sour relationship between Romney and the media. As Politico's Dylan Byers noted, the candidate's disdain for interviews and near-total inaccessibility with the press have only made his coverage worse — and made the rare interviews he does grant stick out negatively. What's more, prominent media figures such as Time's Joe Klein are now openly deriding Romney's unwillingness to talk to them."

I dont often use rachel as a source because I so rarely listen to her or MSNBC as a whole, BUT, she did an interesting piece on fox's treatment of Mittens., and how they are endorsing Gingrich.

it was a long piece but worth listening to , (maybe not if you are a rightie)
If aiLES DOESNT LIKE HIM, HE DOESNT STAND A CHANCE!!!!
Interesting but debateable

Ahhh! The New York Times and The National Enquirer, the "thinking man's Newspapers."

FR

And here I thought the thread was about him promoting a tour of Blue Oyster Cult's predecessor. Too bad, at least that would have made sense.

Of course not.
You could take him out to dinner and give him the lad who used to bully him at school to use as a toilet and he'd still whine.

there is a Rhino release of Stalk-Forrest Band (post Les Braunstein I think) with some tracks remade by BOC later (including I'm on the Lamb/The Red and the Black), and also 4 SWU tracks on a reissue of the first BOC album. It was a SWU show that I didnt know was cancelled when I first saw Pink Floyd at Stony Brook.

I saw BOC twice in the mid '70's. Fun band to see live.

He doesn't seem to do very well under pressure and that is disconcerting to say the least. He's easy to vet though.. nice long voting/business records.

I still say that he completly lost it by "Corporations are people, too." I wanna see 'that' birth certificate!

I saw them a lot...at least a dozen or more times in the 70s/early 80s, and they were still good as late as 2006. Unfortunately they were awful summer of 2010 at the Orange County Fair, and I doubt I'll go to see them again. I thought they crushed Black Sabbath in the Black and Blue tour, and their laser effects were way ahead of their time.
