I think the president made some great points. I really liked what he said about trickle down economics not working. He did an excellent job proving the point that tax cuts for the wealthy do not create jobs by comparing the lack of jobs now to the larger number of jobs in the past when the wealthy paid more. I do think he should've left the part about everyone wanting to immigrate here in the past out. While that's certainly true and anyone not Native American has ancestors that immigrated here, immigrants aren't very popular right now. Also, China raising their prices on labor may not bring jobs back to the US because there are plenty of other cheap labor countries businesses can send work to. Businesses are far to greedy. Anyone else watch the speech? What are your thoughts?

I didnt see it but from your post it was a typical pack of Obama lies or deceptions.

1. Trickle down economics does work and the numbers support it.
2. "When the wealthy paid more"...problem is they never paid more than they do now as a percentage of income
3. If his immigration comment was in the context of they used to want to but they dont anymore, thats bullshit, at least as a generality.
4. Raising the cost of labor in China would bring SOME jobs back at least temporarily, so he got that one right.

1. absolute fantasy. nothing supports it. A typical neo-con factless lie, it is no more true or believeable or real than it was when it epically failed.
2. what does percentage of income have to do with the paid more, in terms of proof or reason to believe? nothing at best.
