The only thing they said that transcended them saying "progressive is bad" is when they rightly stated that if the election is not issue-focused, Newt's personality will make him a loser against Obama.  Whether you agree with his policies or not, Obama's just a likable guy.  And Newt most certainly isn't.

Which is why it will be Romney/Rubio. Bank it!

I'm cool with that. Obama/Biden *could* beat them... Obama/Clinton will mop the floor with them.

Obama has to be the luckiest guy in the world... first election the 'last man standing was McCain, the old man on the porch yelling 'get off my lawn' at the kids and the second election the Republicans have narrowed it down to a cultist Mormon that their base WON'T vote for much less support and Newt, a adulterous bombastic self centered ego maniac who most everyone in the party hates.... so like McCain the base and/or main stream members of the Republican party won't support the candidate again this time. Obama will win with 40% or even less of the white vote.

"Former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu suggested in a radio interview Friday that Newt Gingrich is “not stable,” saying on the “Scott Hennen Show” that the Republican presidential candidate is focused on himself and doesn’t think through the consequences of his actions.

“He has a personal priority over all else. The country comes maybe second or third."

Ouch![:D]

"Philosophy comes maybe fifth. This is a man who is unable to prioritize needs in a constructive way. And frankly, his colleagues saw that when he was leader,” Sununu said. “Tom Coburn, Susan Molinari, Mickey Edwards – all these folks that were part of his inner circle, who watched him on a daily basis, said, ‘Enough is enough, this man is not stable."

Ouch..ooch!

"Asked explicitly if he believed Gingrich is not a stable man, Sununu responded: “I believe that he cannot resist spouting off, making rash decisions that he cannot believe, reacting quickly and emotionally rather than analytically. He is the artist of the bumper-sticker statement that sounds good in a debate. But there is no depth."

Ouch!!![:D]

"There is no deep analysis. There is great rhetoric but no execution.”

“He’s got a great mouth. His mind isn’t so hot and his discipline and commitment are terrible,” Sununu said

OUCH![sm=crop.gif] [:D]

Hillwilliam -> RE: Newt-not stable-Gingrich takes heat - from Republicans. (12/12/2011 7:38:52 PM)

Coulter doesnt think much of him either.

"Gingrich has spent his years since [his first year as Speaker of the House] having an affair, divorcing his second wife and making money by being the consummate Washington insider -- trading on access, taking $1.6 million from Freddie Mac and palling around with Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi and Al Sharpton.

Even Chuck Schumer wouldn't be seen doing a joint event with Al Sharpton! But Newt seeks approval from strange places.

Newt Gingrich is the "anti-Establishment" candidate only if "the Establishment" is defined as "anyone who remembers what happened the day before yesterday."
