Obama celebrates Hanukkah at White House...

TWO WEEKS EARLY?

LIGHTS ALL THE CANDLES...

'We Never Need an Excuse For a Good Party'...

mnottertail -> RE: Obama celebrates Hanukkah (12/9/2011 9:01:31 AM)

I assume he follows the tradition of the House of Shammai

thishereboi -> RE: Obama celebrates Hanukkah (12/9/2011 9:07:27 AM)

Good for him. It shows he is open minded about other cultures.

Lucylastic -> RE: Obama celebrates Hanukkah (12/9/2011 9:12:37 AM)

FR....

how does this mesh with him being a "mooozlem" now?
sheeit
cant you people make up your mind?
I thought him not mentioning god at thanksgiving was his muslimity showing thru, now this???
Impeach the man!!!

willbeurdaddy -> RE: Obama celebrates Hanukkah (12/9/2011 9:12:43 AM)

He had to do it early to counteract the GOP speeches at the RJC. He sure as hell wouldnt start Ramadan early.

mnottertail -> RE: Obama celebrates Hanukkah (12/9/2011 9:13:37 AM)

At least he served kosher, something W was to inept to do.   I wouldn't doubt he served pulled pork BBQ sandwiches.

Anaxagoras -> RE: Obama celebrates Hanukkah (12/9/2011 9:30:16 AM)

Jeez celebrating it at nearly two weeks early could make it look like a bit of acting to appease some disgruntled folk in "hymietown", as one of his spiritual forefathers would say but perish the thought it could be something so cynical. [8D]

Doubtful he can come close to regaining his 2008 edge in the Jewish vote in Florida, the only state where a swing in the Jewish vote can potentially swing significant electoral votes.

mnottertail -> RE: Obama celebrates Hanukkah (12/9/2011 9:43:07 AM)

Well, looking at the republican dismal possibilities of the republican slate, if he gets three votes he wins by a landslide of three votes.

Go the Newt, as Gussy Fink-Nottle might say! [:)]

His Muslim side and his Jewish-appeasement side are at war with each other.  Like Dr. Strangelove's hand.

mnottertail -> RE: Obama celebrates Hanukkah (12/9/2011 10:44:44 AM)

He shoulda got Slim Pickens as his Chief of Staff instead of Rham Emanuel back then, eh?

I think that a president, being the titular head of his political party often engages in politics, and that may be where you are on the disconnect of life.

Nothing nefarious about it.

But speaking of presidents, political acumen, the white house, hanukkah, and adam sandler....

So, what do you think was the embarrassment to the nation, and will we ever recover from the shame of it (since you appoint yourself an expert in these matters) of W serving food that was not kosher at the 2004 white house hanukkah celebration, I mean right there to Jews?   How does that affect the florida vote in 12?  Will you guys still be reeling from that collossal ineptitude?

Lol at the irony of "political".

Do you want to guess which President started the tradition of a Hanukkah party, possibly for errrr........Political purposes.

mnottertail -> RE: Obama celebrates Hanukkah (12/9/2011 12:26:26 PM)

Did he serve pulled pork BBQ sandwiches on Texas toast at the event?

I assume you mean after Carter first officially recognized Chanukah lighting the new National Menorah in 1979 possibly for political purposes?
That would be Clinton's Menorah lighting in the White House possibly for politcal purposes in 1993.
