However, Damascus has been the capital of a variety of places, it was a politcal and economic center for a culture, for centuries. The same goes for Cairo. And the same goes for Ramallah And people in Gaza looked to Cairo And people in Jerusalem area looked to Ramallah. India has nothing to do with this at all.
