And, no, Im not trying to change the bet..lol

tazzygirl -> RE: Newt got $300K for consulting to Fannie Mae (12/16/2011 5:26:27 PM)

Sadly its not to be... at least not this time around.

tazzygirl -> RE: Newt got $300K for consulting to Fannie Mae (12/16/2011 5:29:13 PM)

Lucy, I cant help but think Hillary would have made a far better President.. and Obama would have been fantastic as Secretary of State.

And evidently his consulting didn't tell them to tell Congress the truth: http://www.denverpost.com/business/ci_19561972

Now just hold on here a second......

Let's look at the facts:

He's a serial cheater (and he was cheating on his then wife when he personally orchestrated impeachment proceedings against Clinton for getting a blow job...talk about hypocrisy), he's extracted money from all sides of just about every argument and it's been paid for (essentially) by the taxpayers, he mumbles (so you can't really be certain he really said what he just said), he's taken every side of every issue, was fined 300 grand for lying to Congress....what's not to like?

Now...on to another subject....

I have to say, this is the singularly BEST political ad I've ever seen in my life:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRdqGKA782A

I remember back a few years when Perot was running for Prez (and we owed 4 trillion), my Mom asked me "who do you plan on voting for?" and I said "Perot".

She then lit into me about how he was unelectable and how I should vote for the one who could actually get in (electable).

I explained to her that as an American, it was my responsibility to vote for the best person for the job...not who was electable.

I believe that had more people voted their conscience, Perot would have had 8 years to clean up the mess and probably would have done a relatively decent job, but instead, we had more presidents who didn't want the punch bowl to be taken away on their watch.

Every election my Mom tells me "THIS election is the MOST important one in (her) lifetime".

Something tells me she'd be right this time.

I hope more people, this time, vote their conscience, instead of for who's most electable.

And whoever that is for you...I hope you vote for that person.

It wasnt because he got a blow job. Lets be honest, its because he lied under oath. And, frankly, the President shouldnt be above that law.

The rest of what you posted, I agree with [:D] cept the ad which I didnt watch yet.

I'm wondering why we are so worried about who someone fucks?

In Newt's case it was substantial because he abandoned a wife with cancer.

Otherwise I don't care about their personal lives.

I care about what they do politically.

Lucylastic -> RE: Newt got $300K for consulting to Fannie Mae (12/16/2011 7:09:30 PM)

I dont even care so much he lied
I cannot believe he lied AFTER he had been caught fair and square
fucking arrogant dick
and yes I mean Clinton, so you can imagine how I feel about Unca Newty

tazzygirl -> RE: Newt got $300K for consulting to Fannie Mae (12/16/2011 7:11:17 PM)

I agree rule. He should have told them to shove it, it wasnt their business. I would have had far more respect for him.

No, that was Edwards.

Newt's divorce started before his wife got sick.

Bologna. Your responsibility is to ensure that the best of the viable candidates gets in. Anything else is abdicating your responsibility by knowingly wasting your vote.

Yeah, that's logical.  Let's vote for someone we're convinced is going to fuck things up, because we drank the Kool Aid.

Good move.

Fucking things up LESS is better than the alternative (even if one accepts that all viable candidates would fuck things up).

mnottertail -> RE: Newt got $300K for consulting to Fannie Mae (12/17/2011 9:24:09 AM)

Well that augers in the republican clowns even more then.

Lucylastic -> RE: Newt got $300K for consulting to Fannie Mae (12/17/2011 12:30:11 PM)

Is that part of your constitution?

farglebargle -> RE: Newt got $300K for consulting to Fannie Mae (12/17/2011 5:05:33 PM)

THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS --- IS STILL EVIL.

"Fuck 'Viable'" That's what cowards say because they don't have the balls to stand up for their principles and go on record as rejecting all the candidates who are just pandering to them.

Lucylastic -> RE: Newt got $300K for consulting to Fannie Mae (12/17/2011 5:21:28 PM)

thats why I asked
I think its bullshit too

Voters have no responsibility to do any such thing. If someone wants to vote for a candidate who isnt viable, they are free to do so.

I am sorry if this hurts your sensitivities on how people vote.
