Stealing from the constituents. Isn't that one of those "Thou Shalt Nots"?

The fact he visited a gay sex shop isnt an issue, the fact he allegedly misused $170,000 of taxpayers fund is another thing.

Why do so many get into public office and think they can use public funds as a personal bank account ? It makes me sick.

The stealing is one thing, and bad enough in itself, but the thing that got me was he ran for Congress on a family values platform.

And family values is synonymous with being anti-gay.

Who cares that he is gay? No one, really, unless that someone is running against him.

Is any one really surprised by revelations of this sort any more? I can't say I was the slightest bit surprised. Being gay is not an issue for us - it's clearly an issue for him. I imagine it's also a hot issue for the folks persuaded to vote for him because of his stand on "family values". It wasn't just a cash fraud perpetrated here was it? It was also a fraudulent appeal for the anti-gay vote.

While I'm glad he seems to have resolved his personal issues, I can't say I'd like to be in his shoes when it's time to examine one's conscience.

Sadly the sub-ed at Yahoo who composed the headline for the story on the linked page is missing a sense of humour. By simply removing the full stop after 'Miss" we could have had an agreeably genderfucked headline, to wit:

"Miss Mayor Reveals He is Gay..."(instead of the banal "Miss. Mayor Reveals He is Gay")

Or is it just my perverse sense of humour ?

I could care less who he fucks but 'family values' means don't steal from those who trust you.

I agree, but let's not pretend the term is not a euphemism for being anti-gay.
