I made the horrifying discovering on Friday that we're down to one scalpel blade. I'm torn about what to order.

I've always used 10s, and am used to them. We have handles that fit multiple blade sizes, so here is the conundrum.

I can order a box of 100 number 10 blades from a medical supplier for $33 and have enough blades for a few years.

Or I can pay 50 cents a blade and get a variety at kinky medical, but obviously it costs more.

Anyone have a particular blade they like?

I'm kind draw to the 15s could probably easily do more detailed work with those.

We use scalpels for superficial cutting, we're starting to get into scarification, and for making small incisions to draw up blood in blood cupping. We go through at least 20 blades a year, we probably would have gone through more if we had ordered more last year.

The issue is I don't really want to order from 2 different places for shipping reasons.

Thoughts?

You can buy either or both on Amazon... they do sell both disposables & changeable blades. I like 15s for detail, 10s for sweeping cuts/curves... just depends on your proclivity.

We're going to try out the 15s, I can get a great deal on them through a medical supplier, but need to get 100 count. So I'm hoping we heavily lean towards one or the other. We have handles and just by new blades, currently using kinky medical.
