personally I think they should have afternoon classes for the nocturnal!! lol Ms Midori I have respect for , because of her work over the years, She did a great many workshops in Toronto, but I had heard the same about her long weekend retreat "classes" . that she is still teaching and not growing? I mean no disrespect to anyone, Ive learned a lot from her boooks and web stuff, as well, but based on the things Ive picked up via the grapevine, it wouldnt be a first choice

It can be hard to expand when you keep pounding the same syllabus...

LOL SHe would still be on my list, but what I find I want to learn now is "different" and yes, I agree with the same syllabus. Ive been part of her online "group" for years and years, I just dont have the finances to be able to do as many "kink" related activiites right now. PS edited to add, I have a fascination with my scabs, and I have a lump missing out of my knee that I am proud of

I am a scab picker and bruise lover. It was so much fun to watch my bruises move after my latest fall! If I was going to pay money for something it would be Cleo DuBois and Minax. Serious minds, serious stuff. The demo that Cleo did where she caned this hottie on the front of his thighs had us all pretty much melted on the floor.

Poor teddy got a lot of caning back then in his younger days and oh boy, did that pillow take some hard floggings! I did practice but it was when I was home alone and not on objects that could scream 'OW you nearly took my fucking eye out'! By the time teddy had lost his growl and most of the stuffing had been flogged out of my pillow, I decided to venture out and find me a real live boy! Like someone else here said, watching strange techniques can be entertaining. I mean I have even seen a guy fist a girl when on closer inspection he clearly had his hand under the bench and not in her. She made such delightful noises though. I think its great that some people really like to entertain an audience like that [:D] I think most people venturing into this do so with caution. Those that don't are unlikely to listen and learn anyway. There are lots of supposed experts that have been doing this for all of five minutes and there are lots who have genuinely been doing a lot of BDSM for many years without ever having attended a workshop. I run workshops myself and have done so for years but they are more geared towards blood play, medical techniques and branding. I attend workshops on a fairly regular basis and not all of those workshops are BDSM linked, some are with body mod groups and hook pulls but they are something that I can incorporate into my BDSM play. Nobody is beyond learning. What I don't like is this 'certificate of merit' and this idea that you have to pass some test of approval before you use a tool for spanking someones ass. I believe its base level BDSM play that most play around with in the bedroom without ever venturing out into the scene.

Well it is possible to fuck up a spanking I hear. If a newbie started just whaling away in the wrong area or to hard or what ever I hear you can cause a lot of unintentional damage. And there is the saying about never flog the kidneys, and if you're some clueless person who doesn't know that, or doesn't know where not to hit, and you just pick up a flogger and start whaling away, well you might just be hitting things you really shouldn't. Master and I pretty much stopped attending local clubs because the 'safety police' took it waaaaay too seriously. I was getting a caning, and by my standards it was a pretty mild one. The end snapped off the cane (my leather butt, lol) and I got a small cut. The guy I was playing with just cleaned it up with an antiseptic wipe, and after a minute or so we started again (avoiding the cut area). The DM told us we HAD to stop as they didn't allow 'blood play' in the club. WTF??? Now we go to private parties only, where the sky is pretty much the limit. Much more fun! [:D]

it was way round the side of my thigh, and only a scratch really. We cleaned it, waited until the bleeding stopped (which took about 10 seconds lol) and then concentrated on the other side with a new cane. Zero danger for anyone. Hell, I've had bigger scratches while shaving my legs! [:D]

I just had a thought. I bet my brother and I should have taken a class before we tore after one another with Hot Wheels track. He certainly should have taken one before he tackled me, sat on my head, mashing my face into the sofa cushion (breath play yanno).
