tazzygirl -> Reading comparison (12/21/2011 2:24:15 PM)

I am starting Clinton's new book "Back to work" And I am looking for a Conservative counterpoint. Anyone have any suggestions? Please make is something similar about the economy right now. And I would rather not read any gibberish by any of the current candidates or Coulter.

MasterSlaveLA -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 2:58:59 PM)

Personally, if I were to suggest a book, it'd be Mark Levin's Liberty and Tyranny.  It was written before the economy went into the dumper, but I've heard several on the Left found it very interesting -- and has sold a TON of copies with very little media exposure.  In short, a great book.

I haven't read his latest book, Ameritopia, but I suspect it addresses more recent events.  Still, I think Liberty and Tyranny would be the better book for one on the Left to read.

As an aside, I watched Bill Clinton on The O'Reilly Factor yesterday promoting his book and discussing current events.  I thought it was a very good interview.

Not a conservative view…but… I think you will be disappointed on his views of the occupy movement…At least I saw an interview with Clinton about his book where he stated some negative views anyway.

Butch

Butch, whose views about the occupy movement? Clinton? If that is what you mean, Im not reading to get his views on that.

tazzygirl -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 3:15:33 PM)

Thank you.

Reading the summaries of both, perhaps the Liberty may be the best one to read as a counterpoint to Clinton's book.

As to his interviews, there is no doubting the man is both intelligent and charismatic.

I don't think ANYONE has ever doubted Clinton is both intelligent and charismatic... he just really disappointed me (and other Americans) after his Weiner-Dude/Aaaaaaaaaarnold lying moment -- to both the American people, and to a Grand Jury.  But I tell ya what... I'd take Bill Clinton as President TODAY over the idiot O'Failure currently in the Oval Office.

BTW... here is the ---> entire UNEDITED interview with Bill Clinton

slvemike4u -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 6:53:19 PM)

And yet when "you" had Clinton I feel confident in the assumption that you and your ilk referred to him with as much respect as you refer to our current President [:)]

MasterSlaveLA -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 7:35:35 PM)

During both Reagan (after they cleaned up Carter's mess) and for 7 of the 8 Bush years (after they mopped up after 9/11) -- despite what you may think.  And no... I didn't support everything Bush did either.

Unemployment Rate by Prez ---> as reported by one of the Left's beloved sources

tazzygirl -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 7:36:50 PM)

The last 7 - 8 years were not strong... it was an illusion.. smoke and mirrors.

MasterSlaveLA -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 8:01:43 PM)

And yet, when "you" had strong economies under ANY Conservative President, I KNOW that you and your ilk offered the Left's usual lies and bile. [8|]

tazzygirl -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 8:15:09 PM)

Im one of his "ilk" MSLA, I voted for Bush, as I did for Obama. I didnt agree with everything Bush did, I dont agree with everything Obama does.

I guess I am different in that while I do disagree with their policies, i do not disrespect the office they held, or demean the jobs they had to do. Every President seems to have some issue that affected the nation as a whole.

I think its fair to say none of them have an easy job.

MasterSlaveLA -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 8:24:05 PM)

I didn't vote for O'Failure (I thought McLame was just a smaller shit-sandwich), but after he won, I sat back and gave him the benefit of the doubt -- hoping he was gonna be more like Bill Clinton.  Instead, he's offered failed policy after failed policy, has outsouced his leadership to Pelosi/Reid, has practiced class warefare, and has blamed everything and everyone from ATMs to natural disasters to the Middle East conflicts to STILL, some 3 years later, fucking blaming Bush for his OWN failures -- but worse, we're now $15 Trillion fucked to boot!!! I have ZERO respect for him.  Screw him... I gave him a shot and he BLEW IT... big time!!!  I'd vote for a tampon over Obama.  Sorry... it's just how I feel. =(

tazzygirl -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 8:33:38 PM)

You are entitled to the way you feel. And, like your last post, you have valid points. Its just the way you present them at times that makes it hard to take your seriously. I do believe you are serious.. and truly believe what you say.. and I can see the validity of your points. But the name calling is a bit grade school, ya know?

MasterSlaveLA -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 8:37:29 PM)

Hey... I never clamed to be "Ms. Congeniality", yanno?!! [:D] lol

tazzygirl -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 8:40:16 PM)

You are a smart girl. Im not your mom, so Im not gonna even attempt to tell you what to do. I think you understand what I mean, though. I hope so.

MasterSlaveLA -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 8:44:17 PM)

I'm blunt... always have been... always will be -- it's how I roll. [8D]

tazzygirl -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 8:47:28 PM)

And im not? lol

LanceHughes -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 8:50:40 PM)

One can be blunt and polite, y'know?

Any-who to get back on topic: Here's a middle of the road conservative.  HUH?  Well, give him a try and I think you'll see what I mean.

BRB

GREAT stuff!!! I've been reading him since his first essay.  Haven't read enough recently. Need to get back to read more.

His original site was "Eject, eject, eject!" and I think this is a mirror of that: http://pjmedia.com/ejectejecteject/

Sorry this took so long to get posted..... I started reading the essays on the second site. LOL!

LORDY!  He's been "at it" for 7 years now.... I really, really need to catch up.  BRB.  .  .  .  .  .  . not!

MasterSlaveLA -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 8:53:14 PM)

I'm two years past "polite" when it comes to O'Fuckup.  Sorry.

tazzygirl -> RE: Reading comparison (12/21/2011 9:05:18 PM)
