F&F's tries to convince their target audience (50+) to oppose all forms of government health care while maintaining "get ur hands off my Medicare!!!!" They also ramble about following the Constitution as they cheer for more un-declared wars.

As for FOX in general, they are just as balanced as CNN or MSNBC - though they aren't any better by any stretch. It's just that the lefties accusing FOX of being the devil have no sense of equilibrium as it regards the political spectrum. FOX being a moderate network, just looks far-right in comparison to the progressives, who think that anyone standing against socialized medicine is a hardcore right-winger.

This is analogous to FOX News evaluating who the Top Misinformer would be. (hint: it would be someone on the left!)

Your post is a very good example of not understanding the concept of bias. Take an intro to statistics...

ASSWIPE!!! There is no way Faux Nuze will evaluate itself and find out what is widely known that its them (and they dont lean left)

bias is not bias when it isnt bias.

So, say we conducted a statistical survey on non-hermaphroditic men and womens cock sizes, finding the average to be 2 inches, and dividing by looking at men by themselves and found it was 3 inches, and women by themselves and found it was 0 inches.

No bias, just fact.


No analogy to an entertainment organization surveying a  news organization whatsoever, neither in the OP or the analogy you have wrongly applied here.

Status: offline 		For anyone to say that there is no bias in any news outlet just isn't paying attention. I cannot think of one news source that doesn't have some kind of slant; no matter how slight that slant might be (say that three times, fast).

As far as any of the other shows on any of the news channels, they are targetted and certainly fall into the category of Op/Ed which, by definition is not "news".

Honestly, I am beginning to wonder if it is possible as human beings that we can have news that is completely un-biased. I don't think we can. I think a little bit of personal view sneaks into just about everything. It's why we like reading certain reporters or watching certain anchormen/TV reporters and why we don't like watching others.

No, honestly, I don't think you were. I think it's easy to get caught up in pointing fingers (for any of us) and forgetting that either party is fucking us. They like it when we reduce ourselves to name-calling and bickering because it means that we're not paying attention to the dirty shit they're doing to us.

I think we've seen enough threads and news articles and opinions ad nauseum that we can see that both sides really don't give a fat rat's ass about what we think or what is truly good for us, the people that they're supposed to serve .

Somewhere along the line, service became obfuscated for leadership and I think this country is worse off for it.

Look at some of those so called "lies." Media Matters states that the following is a lie: drilling for more oil will lead to lower gas prices.

Perhaps they should revisit the relationship between supply and demand. Furthermore, if any "lies" are being propagated, it's by Media Matters and their editors - who believe that neo-Keynesianism is the solution to all the world's problems.

Many of the other "lies" are not lies at all, but just opinions. If an anchor at FOX dislikes gays or muslims, then it is just a normative statement which cannot be classified as scientific in the first place. When a FOX anchor says that he dislikes gays, he's not lying.

How would the price of oil drop exactly from some little asswipe added to the market?

Look at the size of the Bakken Fields or the rest of it up in in Canada. And  then point out with your charts and graphs and your facial expressions and clever gestures and your statistics how oil has dropped on the world market due to the influx of these MAASIVE reserves being pumped.

I await your acute personal insights on these matters.
