Breaking news is sending out five minute updates on twitter, seems to have been a 5.9?
Not many injuries or huge damage, but of course, this is stiull sooooo early

5.8 about 2.5 miles north of Christchurch, one person injured. Malls temporary closed for a bit. Hope folks are okay.

3 big quakes 5.8-6 and a swarm of aftershocks. 19 injured so far, mostly minor. A few small, damaged buildings down. Liquifaction. 26,000 peeps no power.

I am glad that there doesnt seem to have been too many injuries as yet. I suspect many of the vulnerable buildings fell in the last quake.
