Just a thought. I have had to go in to the local shopping mall this morning to get a final present for someone. I expected it be hell on earth, but thanks to good sense, getting there early, and good luck, we got parked, had coffee, did the necessary in a pleasantly quiet and relaxed atmosphere, had lunch, and then got out again as the crowds were starting to build up.

I wondered - would you consider this scenario for your slave - or would it be too cruel?! For that last minute pre-Christmas dash to the shops; you get there and settle yourself in a comfy coffee shop with your newspaper or magazine, and slave heads off to do battle for the first item on the list. Returning, s/he then gets given the next item on the list; pausing only to get you a fresh tea/coffee and a nice slice of cake before heading off again. And so on, til the list is finshed.

Nooo; you just couldn't could you?! Its all just toooo sadistic!

ok maybe it's just me but I'm not getting what is sadistic or that big a deal.

But we also usually like to shop together. It helps us to understand each other better and we get more ideas for what each other likes plus we love spending as much time together as possible but if he wanted me to do what you described.....not a problem. It's not a big deal. I wouldn't see anything sadistic or cruel about it.

I'm taking Higuysitsme's comment as just a fun, silly Christmas tease!

On the other hand, I could get into that idea for next Christmas! (winks)

Have a great Christmas, Higuysitsme!

Thinking back to LAST Xmas eve, where I had to get up early to stand in lines at the department store down the road, JUST to get pressies for my Dad---which were only available THAT DAY due to coupons!--oh hell yeah I would make someone stand in line! And carry my coat! So I could stand in a different line in another part of the store!

THEN there would be coffee and snacks. A crepe shop opened up in the same little mall, meet you there!

I don't see anything sadistic about this. I have done this before...read a nice book while the pet goes to get things. Cup of tea at the music shop while I read and he deals with everything else. It's actually a very nice way to shop.

Being stuck in a coffee shop all day waiting for someone else to do the shopping doesn't appeal to me.

Because as long as the s is dealing with the crowds, the d is waiting for them to finish.

You obviously don't dig coffee and pastry as much as I do, Des! And I would use Handy Helper Dude to make life easier---Here, honey, hold my place in line while I grab... kind of thing. Efficiency!

Now if I could be down the block at Barnes & Noble in a comfy chair reading a book while he deals with the list, that would work for me.

Did someone say "crepe shop?"

Joining LadyH and Mummyman with a smile.

After which she will go to B&N and join Des! Have you seen their new "Sexuality" book section? Lovely books there...even books on D/s. (winks)

His Tallness hates crowds and large amounts of stupidity. I can see the two of us doing this, but it really wouldn't be sadistic. We both would probably enjoy it.

You'd make a great coat rack. And a shopping bag hauler.

Just saying.
