The Freedom series by Anne Mccaffrey.  I noticed it on sale on Ebay and Mom gave me the money to get it ($17 including S&H).  I am already on the 3rd book.

I also got the Petayebee series by McCaffrey as well on Ebay for cheap as well.  I went kinda crazy when I heard that Anne died.

I hinted to Lizard that I want Dragon Time by Anne and her son Todd.  Just might finish up my Pern series.

I got a business for Christmas. 

everhope (my current) and  christy (my ex) conspired and were working in unison together.  Although it didn't involve 3 gallons of Crisco, a donkey, used nun habits (so they retain that church-like scent) and a life sized latex effigy of Bridget the midget . . . they did provide enough manpower and support to help launch a business project that has been over a year in the making.  Both girls have tight schedules and it was a wonderful present for them to make time for me so I could launch the project before Christmas.

Mom mentioned that she was going to buy me some crafting gloves because I bitch about how my hands cramp up while working on projects after the first of the year.

I had some funds in my account anyway and went to see what Ebay had.  Crochet Dude gloves in Large!  The backs has a pattern on them looking like tattoos.  Got them for $8.99, free shipping.  We were looking at $25 from Herrschnerrs.  I check with the Crochet Dude's website and they were $14.99.  I feel like I made a good deal.

They will come in while I am in Austin.  It is going to make her wonder what I was up to...LOL!

WOOHOO!! Mom got me a space heater for the bathroom! (well, it's small enough I can carry it room to room if I want)!!

(the reason this is so cool is because my heating/AC is two window units, so the bathroom doesnt really get any benefit from them)

i've had some lovely gifts throughout this year. however, i think my best was not for christmas. earlier in the year i very unexpectedly recieved a handmade black leather rose for my birthday. it's absolutely wonderful and just so me.

my boy has given me leather driving gloves for christmas though as he knows my hands cramp and stop working when it's cold. it's my first winter driving and the wheel gets very cold and is hard for me to hold when my hands are cold too.

mum did me a box with lots of little things in there, one of which is a small massager. it's rather nifty and i can imaging that for some others it would be put to alternate uses. not for me though, it's actually more likely to be used on horses lol

there is something else, and for the peace of mind that gives me while i have it i am eturnally greatful!

The faces of my boys under the tree this morning when they realised that the Christkindchen managed to keep some secrets.
The beautiful scarf the three bought for me. The cards they made for The Guy and me.

Mom got a library from me.  She discovered an author and the town library does not carry many of his books.

So I find a seller on Ebay cleaning his shelves out.  It was a good price and Mom is happy.

My wonderful son did all the cooking and even cleaned the kitchen up.  I didn't have to do any cooking.  And, it was all great!

Mandolin lessons! Master knows I've always wanted to learn to play and he bought me a mandolin for my birthday in the summer of 2010. I toyed with it a bit but never could really get the hang of it and, frankly, was too busy to care much. I've been thinking about trying again so He paid for lessons with an old musician friend of His who runs a music store. I start on Jan. 5th. Wish me luck![:)]
