He'll never officially run because of the financial disclosure thing. He doesn't want the public to know how much Money he doesn't have and some of the murky things he's done to get the money he does have. Would there be people who would vote for him? Sure, there are people who would vote for David Duke or Ron Jeremy. He might even siphon a few votes from the Republicans but I doubt he'd be much of a spoiler.

The wholle trump as a repub candidate idea is ludicrous, and that Rebubs are taking it seriously is a joke. No one could have less in common with the bible thumping, tea partying base of the republican party than Donald Trump

He also doesnt invest much of his personal assets any longer, much of his earnings are from attaching the Trump logo to other people's projects. $1.5 million a year for Apprentice wouldnt float him for very long.
