Autokarismat -> Legio mihi nomen est, quia multi sumus. (12/24/2011 4:04:51 PM)

Hello. Being the new guy behooves a greeting, doesn't it? Though there are many new guys here. Also new gals. Hm.

By the by, Texas loves you, I love you and the God of your understanding loves you. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Solstice. Challenge: Find someone you love. Hug them. Try to picture your life without them and then realize how miniscule they make the universe just by existing.

This would be some much easier if I was a bot. A philosophical bot. One who is frequently drunk.

Anyone seen "Antichrist" with Willem Dafoe? It's breathtaking.

And so he bade farewell to the warm and familiar
to take brittle steps into the gentle curve
of nowhere.

I love Samuel Beckett. So, so hard.

Hello.

Welcome, Auto!

The sun comes up, the sun goes down (I saw that on a cartoon somewhere). That's 'bout as deep as I get but thanks for the holiday greetings...and to you as well.

Best of luck in your search and I hope you enjoy your time here.

No, but I just watched Bill Maher's "Religulous."

I saw the Passion Play at Oberammergau, drunk.

Welcome.

Wasn't that something? The things people think and do in the name of <insert preferred religious entity here>

Hi. That's a long introduction that, whilst interesting, actually tells nothing of yourself. Welcome anyways ;)

Easy for you to say.

Religulous was very good even though I find Bill Maher a bit cloying.

The "literary paws" photo made my whole night.

Thank you, all, for being so kind and welcoming.

Yes, I suppose that I did not explain much about myself. I have some difficulty doing that, that's one of the reasons I came to this site, to try to remedy that.

Though I can try: I am a poet. I am a musician. My favorite color is green. I like my guitars better than people. I like animals more than people. I like the people I have met here more than anyone else I have met. >)

The title of my post explains something about me, I think. It's Latin. It means "My name is Legion, for we are many." From the story in the Bible, when Christ casts the demons into a herd of swine. I like the Bible very much.

Pain is the method that I use to rationalize reality. I don't think that has a good or bad connotation. It's just the way it is.

I hope I can learn more about myself and especially more about others in the coming days. Thank you all for the opportunity to explain myself. I am not very good at it, I admit, but I am working to improve. Blessings to you all and thank you again for the warm welcome.
