So we got my nephew a snowball gun but there's no snow. But there was a surplus of sprouts & mash potatoes works just as well.

So unfortunately the house got splattered.

I got my two grandsons each a red metal saucer. The old fashioned metal kind with a rope handle on each side. I found them in a catalogue and ordered them several months ago in hopes that we would be having actual winter, with snow. They are old enough to enjoy some good old fashioned, tie the rope on, saddle up a horse, pull the saucer behind the horse as fast as the horse can run in the snow, until the kids fall off. Extra fun if the horse is afraid of the saucer and screaming kid bouncing along behind it.

Yesterday and today, sunny and mid 40's. Not a flake of snow to be found.

Fortunately they were still excited about them and looking for ways to grease up the bottoms and ride them down the hill at their dad's house. Not really abuse. Those steel disks will out last their childhood. But still, rather disappointing. We played football outside instead.

No kids nor grands so story out of my childhood...... we'll just say "last century" and leave it at that, 'K?

I got a set of wooden blocks.  I have two younger sisters.  YOU fill in the blanks, but the sentence must use one of "hit" or "throw."  LOL!  Blocks were relegated to my bedroom where sisters were not allowed anyway.

ETA: I distinctly remember the boys in my class telling punishments they received for cutting off the hair on their sister's Barbies.  :::SNIFF:::  I never enjoyed that experience.  I do remember the one sister crying when SHE cut off HER Barbie's hair. LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL!

I used to stick fireworks inside barbies & blow them up.
