Since you clearly didn't notice the massive spending increases came when Dems had both houses. The (admittedly feeble) stabs at cutting the budget came after Reps took the house. By the way under Clinton te reps had BOTH houses of congress.

FR as a leftist who has been a part of more than one terrorist attack and decades before 9/11 its a ridiculous analogy. how soon most righties forget, and NOW how soon most righties are doomed to repeat your folly, and how soon will most righties jump all over the president for not doing enough wrapping you up nice and securely. Most righties wanted the patriot act, most righties got it , most righties still want it, but not for YOU. what makes most righties so special. Most righties would like to do profiling, well guess what most righties fit the profile, we all do. Secure safe society, Not possible....most righties are suffering under so many delusions its not funny there are reasons that he cannot undo what has been done by Bush but most righties are tooo dense to be able to see it.

Interestingly, Clinton ranks first in cutting the federal payroll; it fell by almost 10% when the population grew by roughly the same amount - in adjusted terms, that's -18% fewer federal jobs. This analysis, of course, does not account for recessions, budgets, or external factors that would differentiate payroll growth across periods. However, there is a correlation, as in Brazil, between party affiliation and the growth of the federal payroll.
