i guess that a lot of us found their 2nd bdsm half somewhere in their own country...
in the "worst case scenario" is was at least at the same continent.
BUT did someone found that special someone in another country...across the ocean?
i think that it could give the lifestyle an even more exiting flavour.
to relocate for your MASTER. to change your country, language & maybe even the name.
to completly reBorn :-)
did it happend to any of you?
what do you think about it?

Status: offline 		I came to Australia from New Zealand to live with Master in January 2004. It's not that far (a 3 hour flight) but it was a huge step for me to uproot myself from the rural area I'd lived in all my life at 45 to come and live in a city of 4 million people, the entire population of NZ in one city!

It's been great though, I am able to be the person I really am instead of having to hide things. I left behind my (adult) children and my parents and friends. I have been back twice, and it felt really strange, like I didn't belong there anymore. I have a new life here now and I hope to become an Australian citizen in the future.

well... as a matter of fact, i am currently *under consideration* to a Master in another country.
 
Yes... i am willing to move countries for the right One. Its not a decision either of us will make lightly, and we are exploring all avenues and scenarios of *what ifs* and *maybes* that we can before i go over to meet with Him. We are well aware that we may get to the face to face meeting and it might not work, but we have felt such a connection that we have to at least try.
 
Of course there are going to be people who look at this and shake their heads and say i am mad... but for me... who am i to decide where He should live? As i am able to relocate, and i am willing to, then why limit myself and my options/chances of finding the right One?
 
And yes... i am well aware of the safety issues involved and am taking these as serious things to consider as well... but for me... i think its very exciting... if it works (and i hope it does), then great! Arent i the lucky one!   And if it doesnt...   then at least i have tried and ill never die wondering *what if*, or *was He?*

it just shows that home is not a place. home is the people that we care about.
BUT... you didn't move across the ocean. it sounds like you more moved to a near city with the same language & all... ;-)

i don't think that continents or languages will dictate 2 souls their destiny :-)

Thank You JekylHyde... and yes He is across the ocean. Lets just say it will take me about 24 hours on a plane to reach Him

Status: offline 		Before I had my daughter I would have been willing to move to be with someone. It would have taken alot of meetings and time spent together before I'd pack up and move though. I no longer have that option for ummm 16 years or so lol

I spent almost a year trying to figure out how to move to the US and not have to have someone care for me totally for 5 - 6 years untill i could classify as a landed immigrant and get a work visa. Yes i know sometimes it doesn't take that long but my childhood friend lived it and still is. She had to get special permission to leave the US to come see her mother when she was hospitalized and they thought she was dieing. Immigrating is hard and takes alot of work. But if it's worth the effort to you then I say go for it. Some days I wish I would have tried a little harder *smiles* but everything happens for a reason.

Before i met Master Ken 3 wonderful years ago, i was flying all over the place interviewing with potential Masters in Holland, England, Germany, France and Washington DC. so to answer Your question yes I was willing to re-locate if that was what it took to find the "Right Master". lucky for this girl she found the "Right Master" in her own backyard of Dallas Tx, the funny thing is W/we had both lived in Dallas/Ft Worth for over 8 years and O/our paths would have never crossed if it was not for sites like Alt.com (which is horrible now) and Collarme.com. Funny how everything worked out for the best, for now I have found the Master of a lifetime.

Australia and New Zealand are two separate countries.  A considerable expanse of salt water separates them.  Technically we speak the same language, but Enzedders have some strange pronunciations all their own.

Some countries may be close, and similar, but it's still a different country, and you're uprooting your life if you move.

Status: offline 		I don't find relocation very strange in these days. Every place is a drive, a flight, or a coah of some sort away. I currently am speaking with 2 slaves that are under consideration. One is in another country the other is more than 6 states away.

If they only would get that teleporter online every day would be much more fun!

Status: offline 		I'm going over seas to be with my Master, waaaay over seas, from middle America to Australia, now thats a long way to go. We've been doing long distance for a few years now and have chosen a country..it was a big step, choosing what contry we would live in, I know it sounds like such a small thing, but it's not.

I'm thrilled to get to go there, start a life and be with the one I love

that that is takeing things a little far.. though there is nothignt wrong with re locateing why is it that everyone says the sub shoud why cant the Dom
I mean if you really love someone does it matter wich moves??
what if the sub CANT but the Dom is able to should the sub turn there lifes upside down to move when its easy for the Dom just because they are the sub??
