Nice! I can always tell which posts are yours, DP, before even looking at the name![sm=smile.gif]

Oh dear, am I getting that predictable? That is such a sweet compliment coming from you, but you are such a biased soul, you know!

I pity what it does to those who do not care for the nature of my choices. I'm sure it's quite annoying to some, who aren't of that bent. They probably are about ready to make a critter fritter out of me by now. Oh well, what's a girl to do, but be true to herself?

laborboleta -> RE: Two guys rescue deer from frozen lake (12/28/2011 11:21:09 AM)

There is nothing wrong with predictable, my dear. I for one, like you the way you are. Ya know what? If someone does not care for a post, all they have to do is pass it by.

Duskypearls -> RE: Two guys rescue deer from frozen lake (12/28/2011 12:00:14 PM)

Awww, thanks. This one is just for you, my dear.

Precious! Thanks so much.

Have I ever told you about the fawn that someone brought in last year?

No, pray tell!

hlen5 -> RE: Two guys rescue deer from frozen lake (12/28/2011 1:14:10 PM)

How sweet!! It was neat to see once they really got going, the deer seemed to know they were trying to help!

(Would it be too twisted to make a venison joke??)

Never! Just think of it as venison steaks on ice, to keep 'em fresh before the BBQ.

Some of us do have to rely on deer meat as part of our diet, labor. Healthiest meat around and cheaper on the pocketbook as well.

Which reminds me, I got venison chili in the freezer back home.

I know, <sigh>, but I don't have to be happy about it. I also know it is completely hypocritical that I eat meat that comes prepackaged so that I don't have to see the creature being slaughtered. I'm not happy about that, either. I do try to minimize my meat consumption. If I had to fend for myself I would definitely be a vegetarian.

although I do ask that anyone the finds eating meat to be okay to at least be conscious about where they buy it and the condition of the animal that gave their life to feed us prior to supporting disgusting slaughterhouses. If you can't watch the process, don't support the outcome.

Don't tell me you would put that sauce on venison. A bunch of spices maybe but BBQ sauce ? You might need another spankin.

And don't bullshit us, if you and your friends were there I suspect Bambi over there would be in the deepfreeze by now :-)

I am actually about due for some medallions. Just a little garlic. Well of course the good salt........

T^T

Nah, actually I'd probably do a venison roast in a great red currant jelly glaze I make.

Why you dear boy, how did you know I needed another spanking? With any kind of luck, I shall get more than my fair share New Years Eve. Yippee!

You're right about Bambi being fair game (double entendre intended). His ass would be in my freezer so fast it would make his little head spin. Yummmm...young, tender meat!

Hey, T, I've got an idea. How about I provide Bambi, and you provide the spanking and the garlic? Gee, I wonder if fresh garlic rubbed onto a freshly paddled derriere burns much?

Oh alright, T, I'll slaughter and prep Bambi, you can do the cookin', and I'll wash the dishes. Deal?

[sm=hearts.gif] thanks kalikshama!

LaTigresse -> RE: Two guys rescue deer from frozen lake (12/29/2011 6:25:02 PM)

Now I am craving a nice rare steak.

I think that, since I really cannot afford the usual seafood pig out we usually have for New Year's Eve, I will stop at the market and get a couple of rib eyes and fire up the new grill I got for Christmas.
