Which is why I don't cook too much. My muffins are legal grenades...

I wish they would print the recipe...I've a few people I'd like to give it to...anonymously

The media is spending way too much time telling us (after the fact) what foods are killing people by...actually eating it. Then there is all of that time telling us of all those laws suits over drugs, very, very profitable drugs mind you brought to you by our esteemed FDA, (clearly in the pocket of business) but that are also...killing you.

We understand very well don't we ? What's a little bacteria, stomach cancer and death etc., when it...comes to a profit. That's capitalism for ya.

A very good reason for not deep frying foods at home. Go out for them instead! I only wish I knew of a place up here that made fresh churros.

Just spread the word that sausages no longer need to be pricked with a fork thanks to a new innovative covering, and "kaboom", boiling pork shrapnel...

I don't prick them until they REALLY bulge.

T^T

I wouldn't be at all surprised if  this lawsuit will be talked about along side of mc d's hot coffe lady suing mc d's when it comes to ppl trying to say the law suit was a stupid lawsuits, instead of companies taking responsibility for their mistakes  or in Mc D coffee case, out right willfully keeping it to hot, hurting people.

Clickofheels -> RE: An imminent danger that the media has ignored! (12/28/2011 10:12:24 PM)

I have no idea how one "willfully keeps coffee too hot" (?), but I've never heard of a churro until now.

I think I'm more curious about those muffin grenades of ShaharThorne's, and the pork shrapnel adhering to Anaxagora's kitchen ceiling, though! (lol)

Mc ds kept their coffee hotter than they knew was safe despite being told it's to hot, on purpose cause serving it this way to hot temp kept it tasting fresher longer they claimed.

That's willfully making and keeping coffee temps to hot. Most ppl who don't know the facts though say the woman who sued for the coffe burning her when spilled try to therefor say the lawsuit was frivolous and she's dumb.

When I make coffee in my coffee pot, it comes out hot. How it could be any hotter is anyone's guess. When I zap coffee in my microwave, it comes out hot. Again, how it could be any hotter...?

I don't know of anyone who expects not to be served a hot cup of coffee, unless they specifically request iced coffee.

Any restaurant will make a fresh pot of coffee and keep it on a hot burner.

Toppingfrmbottom -> RE: An imminent danger that the media has ignored! (12/29/2011 12:43:09 AM)

There's reasonably hot, then there's hot enough to cause first and second degree burns if it should spill on you. Nobody expects coffee that hot.

How hot is the coffee I make? When I pour from the kettle into the filter cone, it is boiling. By the time I sip it, it is low enough that it doesn't burn. About 140 or so. And I don't do Churros. I do donuts.

LMAO DonGiovani! Amazing, isn't it????

DesFIP -> RE: An imminent danger that the media has ignored! (12/29/2011 11:56:10 AM)

In the McDonald's coffee case, they had received numerous citations from the Board of Health instructing them to lower the heat. They willfully ignored the BOH and got what they deserved. The lady who received third degree burns from it did not deserve that.
