OK - I play a couple of RPG's, Role Playing Games - one is so slow it takes forever to load, the other, which is my favorite is fast! What I am asking is do you play any RPG's? Do you enjoy them? Would you you play them if you knew what the hell they were? [:D]

TheTemp -> RE: RPG's (5/30/2006 5:50:50 AM)

Runescape....A highly addictive game for children.

Sab -> RE: RPG's (5/30/2006 6:01:43 AM)

I am a bit too old to play a childs game, lol.

Lashra -> RE: RPG's (5/30/2006 6:25:58 AM)

I used to do live role-playing of the nonsexual type, I do the sexual type too [:D] But online I've done text based RPG in an open forum with games of all genres. Right now I'm playing an online game called World of Warcraft. Not alot of people actually roleplay while they are playing.
Do I enjoy RPG's? Yep I sure do, always have in fact. They are a great creative outlet and alot of fun.

Neverwinter Nights!! We are soooo addicted to that game. I enjoy it because there are literally hundreds of modules you can download from their site... it's awesome.

Deleria     very good RPG

NakedOnMyChain -> RE: RPG's (5/30/2006 9:49:57 AM)

I play Vampire: The Masquerade (not such a big fan of the new one), Kobolds Ate My Baby, Shadowrun, D&D, and various others when the fancy strikes me.

juliaoceania -> RE: RPG's (5/30/2006 9:53:29 AM)

I play a massive multiplayer one called "Runescape". They let you play some of the game for free and it is only 5 dollars a month. I play with a couple of members of my family and we help each other... (yes I am a freaking geek.. so what?)

I bought that one for my son... but until I start working again I cannot afford to play... and then I will not have the time anyways... it does look very cool

desertdancer -> RE: RPG's (5/30/2006 10:00:47 AM)

I found the love of my life playing  NEVER WINTER NIGHTS...I was so adicted I Dm'ed for three servers at once...sadly, I don't play much anymore, Dm'ing can ruin a game very quickly... however NWN2 has cought my eye * smiles*

OedipusRexIt -> RE: RPG's (5/30/2006 12:29:24 PM)

I think creative, imaginative people are drawn to role-playing.  I've played some realtime in-person RPGs, which are fun but a pain to organize.  Online or solo pc RPGs are a blast, but can be addicting and time-consuming.

Do try World of Warcraft, but also try Ultima.  LOTS of fun, and less work than W O W.

RavenMuse -> RE: RPG's (5/30/2006 12:55:08 PM)

For MMORPG then Neverwinter nights or more recently Guildwars can easily eat an afternoon or several in a very pleasing manner.

Majik -> RE: RPG's (5/30/2006 2:03:38 PM)

D&D, VTM, and every now and then a rousing game of MTG.

OhBeMyMind -> RE: RPG's (5/30/2006 2:08:54 PM)

I have Guildwars, do not care much for it, especially compared to WoW.  I also have City Of Villans, which is pretty cool...but again does not compare to WoW.
Obviously I have a kid...LOL.....but we do have 2 WoW accounts.....one for each computer.

brightspot -> RE: RPG's (5/31/2006 2:26:16 AM)

I love to play RPG's they are the only system games I play. I am just about to go to the final battle in "Zelda The Wind Waker". I loved this game, definately one the best RPG's I have ever played. Some people claim it is too easy but I have enjoyed it, more so than the one's where you have to do things repeatively or some spot's that are so damn hard ya can't get passed 'em. This one has it challenges althought not frustratingly hard, so the game keeps moving and in this one there is so many things to do and discover and the graphics are excellent! To tell you the truth I hate to have it end[&:].

Some other RPG's I have played and enjoyed; Resident Evil games, Metal Gear Solid's, other Zelda's, Fear Effect's,  and The Final Fantasy series.

I hadn't played one for a while when my son dropped off the Game Cube and this Zelda Game and I know why I don't play them that much anymore(like when my son was young) because they are too damn addicting![;)]

Wanted to add that I too think the creative, imaginative type's can very easily "live" the game, I know it becomes more than a game to me sometimes if I just let myself be there, too cool! And Yes it can eat up real time very quickly.

fullofgrace -> RE: RPG's (5/31/2006 2:30:18 AM)

i've played a bit of d&d in my time, online and in person. i have a particular affinity for muds, though, and message board rps. currently i play at lusternia, a mud created by http://www.ironrealms.com . i also participate at several wheel of time message board rps.

NeedToUseYou -> RE: RPG's (5/31/2006 3:52:10 AM)

Used to play them, played everquest for awhile, I try not to try new games much especially ones that don't end, as I end up wasting weeks worths of time on them. Before I just uninstall them, so I can get something done. Currently playing Civilization 4, I shouldn't have started as now I'm wasting a few hours a day on it. Not a RPG though, but still addictive to me anyway. :( I've crushed every version, should be done with this one in a month. Argghhh, conflict, work or world domination.
