Hiya all Another post about processes on here; and probably to make the 'oldies' sigh a little. (Sorry, 'oldies'; no disrespect intended.......maybe I should phrase it better......more experienced contributors to the boards, maybe......?!) Is it possible to actually view someone's profile without appearing on the 'who's viewed you' tab? I ask due to receiving replies from a couple of women I've contacted who replied and complimented me on my profile, but didn't seem to have viewed it according to my tab. I probably already know the answer don't I, but just asking for help of your great wisdom, Oh knowledgeable ones!

Technically, yes. If I were to sign out of my DarkSteven account so that I was an unsigned-in user and view your account, it would not show up in the Who Viewed. That said, it would require me to note your username, sign out, type your username in the Search function, and sign back in to write to you. I don't know if hiding a profile will avoid showing up in Who Viewed. I suspect the greater probability is that she might be a scammer type.

I get notes from guys who don't show up on mine too. I've wondered but never asked about it so, good question.

You can find a user using Steven's method, and as long as you don't "view full profile" you can get a lot of information without ever showing up as being a viewer.

You can see a persons profile text/journals through the browse profiles page. As long as the profile text is not too long, they can see the whole thing without going into the profile and getting flagged as viewing it so it's possible to see it in a considerably less creepy fashion. I'm fairly certain if your profile is hidden you won't show up as people's viewer, but I don't know what happens when you unhide.

I tend to view profiles in the "browse profiles" home page without opening their full profile (you can scroll through their photos without triggering a view as well). When they said they liked your profile, did they mention something specific that they liked? I know that often when I get someone saying they liked my profile when they really liked my main picture of my tits encased in a cami. I had someone email me telling me he liked my profile and he wants to own me that told me that based on my username and photo. Had he bothered to actually read my profile he would have seen right at the top that I was already owned.

I do that too. Sometimes you have to read the entire profile to even know if you want to write or not. And some people put important (& perhaps eliminating) info at the bottom, thats also one way for them to find out if you read their profile or not. I am here mostly for the forums so to put posts in context, sometimes I like to browse posters profiles incognito to get a better idea of where they are coming from... [;)]

Plus some people have more than one profile, and may well use a secondary one to browse in order not to get snotty messages about how dare we look at them without permission.

Yes,.. but then if they post in the forums regularly, they have to be careful to be logged in with the profile they want to post with.. lest they end up being accused of being a dreaded sock puppet.. On the home page you can search for people anonymously too, even signed in. If you want to see a UberDarkLord's profile (from something he said on a message board) you can type in "UberDarkL" and any profile that starts with that will come up.

Higuysitsme, I've found that if anyone writes 'I was attracted to your profile' (or similar), without that showing up in my 'Who's Viewing Me' and without addressing me by name or making it clear in their message that they've viewed my profile - then it's always been a scammer. At the end of my profile I have the note that if a writer hasn't referred to my profile in her message, I won't reply to her. But, really, it's pretty unimaginable to me that anyone who's genuinely interested in me could write her initial message without wanting to say anything at all about something in my profile - and were she to do so, she'd probably not be the sort I'd be interested in anyway.

Typing in their username on the Home page's search button will get you a look at their incomplete profile, and they cannot see that you peeked. I can view their essay, and most of their journal entries, but not all of their journal entries if they write a lot, nor their kink lists. Just don't hit that "view complete profile" button. I am curious about some people but do not want them to feel like I am interested in scening with them. If you click on their profile within the message boards, I believe it takes you to "view complete profile", so...signing out under your own username and coming back in as guest would handle that. I don't know why, but most guys view simple curiosity over who lives in my area as an invitation to kinky sex.
