The one who wants me as their pet wants someone to fill all of their needs. I'm very new at this and I want to make them happy, I got them very upset at me recently and I want to learn to only make them happy. Are there any suggestions on how to become mentally prepared for being a pet? I'm not really sure what else to ask, any advice would be wonderful!

You're either mentally, emotionally, and physically "prepared" to obey or you're not -- not any different from anything else in life you've committed to... going to college, a job, family responsibilities, etc., yes/no?!!

What's your definition of "pet" as opposed to submissive?  Are there unique expectations like acting like a cat (as your username may suggest) or something?

The master enjoys cats, they even want me to listen to a hypnosis thing on being a cat. I enjoyed that, I sat next to their chair with my head on their lap as they stroked my hair.

While I'm new to this board, I've been in the 'lifestyle' for years and have enjoyed the role of 'pet' in the past.  I suggest talking to the one whom you will be serving about what they desire in a pet, and which of your behaviors they've enjoyed in the past.  I'd also ask about behaviors they dislike.

You nor they should expect perfection now or ever.  But with time you will learn how to serve their whims to the best of your ability, and they will come to understand how to train you most effectively.

Good luck, Blessed Be.

Well a real pet cat would ignore her owner unless she wanted something to eat or an ear scratch. Don't forget to take the best spot on the bed as well. Meow to be let out doors like the house is on fire then just stand there staring for a few minutes and maybe lick yourself.

Thats about it really, as usual I have nothing of content or value to contribute.

Good luck and best wishes tho'

Cheers Sea

The cat here at the farm had his balls removed early on. It made him a MUCH better pet.

Also, I quite often, give shots myself. Depending upon the vacination needed (rabies MUST be done by a vet here) Saves the expense of the office visits.

Ready for some sharp impliment play Nine?..................Hmmmmmmmmm?

Do you see those two snippets? You're very new and the Dominant got very upset at you. IMO, if you're new that Dominant shouldn't be getting very upset with you. He should be guiding you and expecting set backs. Did you learn how to read in one day?

The only person that can teach you how to please him is him. That is his role and if he's not willing to do that, then I would suggest you take a step back and reevaluate things.

I am assume master is a man but is he multiple (like Sybil) or so amazing that he is more than he and must be referred to as they or do you have more than one master and your post should have read the MASTERS.

Why did he/they get upset with you? Had they explained what they wanted first? Did you agree that you could do that? If there was a problem, did they attempt to solve it?

I get the feeling that you aren't ready for poly and the wife isn't interested either but felt obligated to say he could have a pet. If so, this won't ever work out because unless all of you are in love with each other, it's a train wreck.

if you want to be cat-like, do your own thing, try to be sneaky, and knock shit over and then act innocent. my cat does that all the time lol

seriously though, i think it comes down to if you really enjoy it or not. i, myself, have tried pet play once but as it turned out i didn't care for it. so really you just need to be honest with yourself

This picture is actually spot on, seababy, as she mentions in another post that her relationship is currently an online one.

To the OP. Does your Master have cats? Perhaps get to learn their behaviors..where they are allowed to play, sit, eat, etc.
