I'm pretty sure there is someone for everyone in this wide world. The trick is making that contact.

I took a look at your profile and I would simply suggest that you add details that let a woman imagine why she might want to spend time with you. Do you live in the Taj Mahal? Then mention that. Do you have the resources and interest to dress her in silks and teach her to dance?

More realistically, describe yourself: who are you beyond just the wheelchair? What to you do with your time? What are your interests and dreams? How do you live? And what can a woman expect from living with you? Spark her curiosity..

That's all I can offer.

I had a very good friend who was in a chair. He was a very very popular Dominant and I thought the world of him.He had many submissives , Because of his charm, his personality and for his flogging arm (he built up a huge upper body strength as a result of his disability).
I wish you luck in your search

Namaste, sahib.

I hope you find what you are looking for and that, when you do, you are both worthy of each other.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

I think that is the #1 issue. From the wheelchair avatar to the wheelchair dom in the topic, the OP seems to be very focused on either capitalizing on the wheelchair, or has not yet come to terms with it.

Masterlove, heed that advice: Just because you are in a wheelchair and it is a part of your life, it is not who you are. You are who you are. You should be the focus of your life, not the circumstances surrounding it.

I am not bothered by it, but the culture i live in does look at me differently. yo should understand that in us this is not a big deal but out here it does. i think people in bdsm are not shallow like people in everyday

OP, have you tried looking in the health care field for your submissive partner? I got to thinking about this today and the thought came to me about how because I am in the healthcare field, a wheelchair seems very normal. I see disabilities all day long, they don't define the person to me, they are just part of the scenery. Someone accustomed to dealing with health/body issues may be more able to see you as a person first and not care too much that you need to use a wheelchair.

Keep in mind that you don't have to find a 'submissive', you need to find a compatible woman. If you found someone you clicked with you may be able to introduce her to the BDSM world and see if it is interesting and exciting to her, and perhaps she'd be willing to explore it with you. In other words, maybe you should stop trying to look for a woman who calls herself a submissive, and find instead a woman you enjoy and who also enjoys your company. Then see if you can't turn her into the submissive of your dreams....we all had to start somewhere. Maybe you can introduce someone to D/s and find your happiness that way.

As a few others here on the boards know do to an accident at the begining of last year I am now in a wheelchair. I am an amputee and don't really feel that the chair has much of anything to do with who I am. It is a tool I need right now so it is a tool I use. Those that know me, or meet me, have found out rather quickly it doesn't stop me from doing what I want. Circumstances beyond ones control do not stop them from achieving what they really want in most cases. As long as they are willing to put in the work it requires than almost anything can be done. I can not speak about how it would work in India because I have never been there. But I can say that if being dominant is who you really are, and you are willing to do the work that in involved, than you too can find what you are looking for.

slaverachel2Him -> RE: wheel chair dom (1/4/2012 9:17:08 PM)

RavenK who is well known speaker and Master among some BDSM people is in a wheelchair often. i know it is probably hard to get the first intro's going, but it (Domming)is in the personality.

Masterlovealot -> RE: wheel chair dom (1/4/2012 10:40:06 PM)

After taking to all you lovely people i have decided not to mention the word wheelchair in any of my post unless it is relevant. I feel  like superman and nothing will stop me now. love you all for being so nice to me

This makes me think about a Domme i know. She is hard of hearing. She has glaucoma. She is blind in one eye and has only 3% vision in the other eye. She is AMAZING with a single tail! Somehow she can whip the clamps of a nipple and she has cracked the whip in my face until i learned not to flinch. She is totally accurate and people come form 100 miles or more just to get it from her. At a charity whipping for funds for some BDSM group- she made more money that ALL the other whippers put together. There is a nice edge play feel too being whipped by a blind person who uses a white cane to walk with and had a seeing eye dog. so like the poster above look for areas you cane excel at. She also trained subs who actually came across the world to be trained just by her! She is the ONLY other person so far Master has had me submit to other than Himself.

It really is not that much different in the US--Americans just learned that if they stare too much or make clearly heard comments, they'll be chastised for doing so. But I do notice some patterns. Most of the people whom I know with a disability seem to fall in to two types: 1) One whom highlights it every chance they can, and 2) One whom recognizes that it exists but doesn't highlight it without a reason to do so. The first type usually just makes me want to tell them to get over it. We can all see they are disabled, so there's no point in them standing up to announce it. (Well, not literally standing up :-P)

The second type I often even forget that they are disabled--the wheelchairs or other devices just fade in to the background like common jewelry, and even if they do occasionally make a joke about it, it's genuinely funny and usually meant to smooth over an otherwise awkward moment. Let who you are come forward, and I'm betting most of the people worthy of sharing your life will soon see you for who you are as well. Those who still just see the wheelchair, well.. As you said, such shallow people are not what you want in your life, anyhow, right?

Best of luck to you!
