Bringing out my "A" material;

So I've recently considered running for president on the "I'm neither stupid, nor insane" ticket. The problem is, I'd have a shoestring budget campaign. But I think I've figured it out. I'll change my name to John Wayne, and run the campaign over the internet. I'm willing to bet a lot of voters will see the name on the polls, and figure it couldn't be worse than whatever puppet was running for the main parties.

God, could you imagine what a disaster it would be? I'd be like every president we've had in the past twenty years. Completely unqualified! But then again, I suppose it could be worse.

If you have a background the press will just mangle it. If you have experience, you've already been disillusioned and trained to lie. If you had intelligence, you probably wouldn't be running for office in the first place, right?

(The sad thing is, this is actually starting to make sense.)

I'd be a new kind of politician, at least. I'd have no goals, no ideas and no opinions.

What's different about that, you ask?

I freely admit it!

There's only one reason why I'd run for president. It's the power. They have it. I want it, I'm going after it.

So, vote for me. I won't change anything, and nothing's gonna get fixed on my watch. Which means it's good for the status quo!
