Dscouple7383 -> What got you into the lifestyle? (1/5/2012 9:58:14 AM)

As I peruse through all of these profiles, I often find myself wondering how everyone got involved in the lifestyle. What was your first exposure to it? And finally what was the tipping point that made you take the step "out there"?
For me, as dumb as it sounds, it was the movie The Secretary.
After the movie I did extensive research..... And as luck would have it, actually met a slave on a vanilla blind date!
After much experience, I met my Fiance on this site over a year ago, and am the happiest I have ever been!

I think http://www.collarchat.com/m_3984625/tm.htm should fit with your question and is very new (like, last 24 hours).

I found out there were other people like me way back when dial up was THE way to get online. I was playing a trivia game with a bunch of people in a CompuServe chat room. When the game was over they all went to a room called the Lifestyle Inn. I joined them. I learned a lot.

I have been in the porn business for 10 years and 6 years ago I was cast in a strapon video. I had so much fun I now have my own site dedicated to Femdom strapon play.

Around the age of 10 or 11 i thought it'd be fun to slap a boy, I did it and that was the earliest BDSM play I remember.

KYsissy -> RE: What got you into the lifestyle? (1/5/2012 4:51:09 PM)

My earliest memory was trying on my sisters dance leotard.  I think I was 5 years old.  But the feeling of that moment stuck in my mind.  I LOVED it.

When I was around 12 or 13 I was watching a B movie where the guy got captured and was tied up by the Amazon she warriors.  He kept trying to escape and I never understood that.  I thought he had it made!!

As time went on those two things came together and here I am.  I fought it and fought it when I was younger.  OHHHHH if I had all the lingerie I have thrown out in fits over the years.

I have been a sissy since.  not your  usual femme one.  I am a football playing, hammer swinging, wrench turning sissy.  After all that I go in the house, dress up, clean the house and cook dinner.

I think I was born wired this way.

Pyramus -> RE: What got you into the lifestyle? (1/5/2012 4:55:36 PM)

My earliest memory is about second or third grade wanting to strip the school teacher and sitting her ass on the outside snow.

lizi -> RE: What got you into the lifestyle? (1/5/2012 5:13:15 PM)

I was on a dating site for people into biking (motorcycles), and met someone that I found intriguing. He called himself a Dominant, I didn't know what that was, I researched the topic and found a lot of answers about myself in the process. He and I didn't last. I found this site and met my Dom the first night I joined and have been with him almost 3 years now. I did meet and/or talk to others before committing to him exclusively. I'm happy, he seems happy. However long he and I last it's been a good ride- maybe we'll go the distance, who knows.

This lifestyle fits me, I enjoy it, that's all there is to it really. I think that the more information you have about yourself the more peace you have in life - just a theory of mine, but it seems that most people find an ease at understanding that this lifestyle is an key aspect of their life..

Back surgery - its a long story!

toxic66 -> RE: What got you into the lifestyle? (1/5/2012 5:21:01 PM)

When I was young I read fantasy books. When I was looking one day I found the Gor books. They had this great cover art on it of women collared and leashed kneeling at a man's feet. That very much interested me. I bought and read them and thought, that that was it, I wanted to own a woman someday. BTW, I am not into the Gorean thing. Then when the Internet came on I naturally started looking into BDSM material and have been hooked ever since.

littlewonder -> RE: What got you into the lifestyle? (1/5/2012 7:34:41 PM)

I'm just going to cut and paste what I put in the other thread....

I grew up in a traditional household, mom as the stay at home wife, dad as the breadwinner, the leader in the family. It was the religion and culture in which I grew up. It's what I'm used to and what I'm comfortable with. It's what I find attractive in a man. So I guess you could say for me it's just always been that way for me.

If you're talking about the kinky sex then again I guess I've never known anything else. From the moment I lost my virginity it's been that way. I've never known anything else. All the men I've ever been with have been "kinky" in one sense or another. I don't understand anything else when people talk about "vanilla". I have no clue what "vanilla" even means when people talk about it. I never had dreams about it or thought about it as a kid like I hear others talk. It's just always been that way.

slaverachel2Him -> RE: What got you into the lifestyle? (1/5/2012 7:44:03 PM)

My first exposure was me. LOL i just went that way. i actually thought i was the only weirdo out there so was secretive as i had a feeling no one else did the things i did- especially since the "love songs" didn't sing about it. An 11 year old pussy whipping themselves? Well- that was my first sexual exposure of a BDSM nature.

All my little BF's before- LOl we didn't even kiss except a quick "illegal" peck!. At 11 kissing was still a BIG deal back then-in the 1960s'

i have never experienced a pleasant sexual experience that didn't have BDSM in it. It was for me (vanilla) asexual sex- i just was there- i tried to convert to it but not happening. The only sex i have ever known or cared about since the get-go was BDSM sex. Only it works for me, always has.

BTW still like pussy whipping only now with a real whip and by Him!

sheisreeds -> RE: What got you into the lifestyle? (1/6/2012 5:06:33 AM)

As a kid I was always fascinated by "the kidnapped princess". When I was 3 or 4 I stapled my finger and I just remember it being the most horrifying and fascinating experience (it was deep, painful, and bleed a lot).

My best friend was actively kinky in high school, and curious in middle school. I remember her asking me if I was a sadist or a masochist when I was 13, and I didn't even hesitate when answering the question.

I didn't date a lot in high school (mostly not to end up like my best friend married at 18, pregnant at 19). My first serious relationship I wanted to meet up with the guy because he expressed an interest in BDSM. He's also how I found out about this site.

I kinda went through a streak of luck with just finding the right people. I started recognizing I was a switch around 19 or 20. Met a boy at a coffeehouse who said I could crash at his place if I ever missed the last bus home. So the next night we were standing around the sidewalk and I turned around as the bus rode by. I think both of our lives changed forever at that point. We quickly fell into a pattern of really violent intimacy.

We broke up thinking we were fated to never work, and I met the ex-husband. Who initially seemed into violence, then it faded away. The switch tried to rescue me days before the marriage, and I was a moron and said I was happy.

Secretary was actually a bit of a beacon for my return to sanity. The movie used to depress the shit out of me, I watched it first with the e-husband, and it was just 90 minutes of longing and mourning. He just thought the movie was a little weird, I thought it was the fairy tale version of my life.

Coming back was to this wasn't hard, though at times painful (pardon the pun). Instinct and need just guided me back.

I'm the same way. My partner and I go through these strange phases where we try a bit of vanilla, and we get frustrated and feel like failures. Then one of hits the other, and everything is back to normal. BDSM is more important to me than sex, I often get more out of it than sex.

Lets see
-I got into BDSM because I like making slutty cunts scream-it gives me happy-happies

-First encounter I can remember was around 7, watching some 70's big hair California blonde forced to walk the plank 1/2 naked and cuffed in some lame ass TV movie. Don't recall the movie, nor do I care, but I distinctly remember the woody I got watching it to this day.

-Second encounter was around 14, reading Nancy Fridays "My Secret Garden," a psychiatrists exploration of women's sexual fantasies...including BDSM. Ran across it in the library, was so, ahem, blown away that I stole the book on the spot. I had had BDSM fantasies for years (Points at post above), but felt dirty and twisted for having em. Reading this book showed me that I wasn't all fucked up for thinking that way, that others thought the same way, some of em were even womentype creatures, and a few even moved from fantasy to experience. Hell, some of em dreamed of a guy doing things to em. Yeah, to say this peeled me open and changed everything wouldn't even kinda sorta be an understatement

-First personal encounter came with a gal I was dating when I was 18,
Me-"Hey darling, who do you have ping pong paddles but no table?"
Her-"Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr, we may need to talk."

edited for spacing

bighappygoth39 -> RE: What got you into the lifestyle? (1/6/2012 9:22:37 AM)

I've always had an underlying sadistic streak from as far back as I can remember. I just saw it as me being a bossy child/teen/adult, and my family always accepted that I was just the way I was. I remember watching old Hammer Horror films and definitely enjoying them more when they had the strong powerful women dominating the men. I also grew up watching stuff like Charlie's Angels and Wonder Woman, which I absolutely adored.
I've mentioned on a similar thread that my grandmother was very influential on me, and though she was a very petite lady, she was very dominant, indeed. That had a big impact on me.
I got into actually doing something about this underlying kink quite late, I guess. I'd been chatting to someone regularly as friends in a chatroom about 8 or 9 years ago, and he mentioned about me being a domme. Of course, I've always been pretty naive in a lot of ways, so I instantly looked into what this guy was on about, and got drawn into it all deeper and deeper. It was then I decided to find out exactly what I enjoyed before then seeking a D/s relationship. It's all worked out brilliantly, and I can honestly say I've never been happier. Long live kink! Go mail them some money and an apology. Libraries are always underfunded.

Fantasies, watching Nell get tied up in Dudley Dooright cartoons.

Reality: marriage had broken up for other reasons. Typed bondage.com into the browser looking for porn and discovered other people who also did this. Met The Man there a couple of weeks after I joined up and that's almost 9 years ago.

subpnw -> RE: What got you into the lifestyle? (1/6/2012 10:57:35 AM)

About a week before my 12th birthday a new friend began touching me during a sleepover.  He was bigger and stronger than me and already had some experience as a sub with an older male so he knew how to get me to do what he wanted.  He tied my hands behind me and taught me how to please him.  I found myself very willing to comply,  incredibly excited,  and surprisingly, very comfortable with what was happening, but at the same time feeling twinges of guilt from my Catholic upbringing..  He introduced me to the older male and soon i was serving both of them for nearly 2 years until I moved away.  I have been drawn to the lifestyle ever since but have to admit it has been a struggle to accept those desires throughout most of my life.  I am sure if the internet had been around back then and I could have seen that there were many more like me, that I would have taken a different route in my life and lived it as a true submissive.
