Update: The young teen will be returning to Texas. But this is a problem, especially under the Obama administration. In 2011, ICE has deported nearly 400,000 "illegal aliens". Many of them criminals, but, according to the ACLU nearly 100 US citizens get caught up in the ICE net each year. In 2007 Marc Lyttle, a SC resident, US citizen and brother to a US soldier was deported to Mexico after serving time in jail on harassment charges. He was detained by ICE upon his release from jail because he had ID to prove his identity. And btw, Marc Lyttle has a developmental disorder. Mexico also deported Mr. Lyttle, to Honduras, who deported him Nicaragua and from there he was sent to Guatemala, where somebody was finally willing to listen to his story. After two years, armed with a new passport and plane ticket, which his family had to pay for, Lyttle finally made it home, but not until after being detained once again by ICE upon arriving at the Atlanta airport. In 2009, Irving Palomo was detained and sent to Mexico after an ICE "mix up". And later that same month, Diane Williams, a US citizen of Caucasian and Native American descent was deported to Honduras after completing a jail sentence in TX for prostitution--she had been using an alias. http://thinkprogress.org/security/2009/06/16/175487/immigration-citizen-deportation/
