yanno, except I think he had more makeup on in that pic than I have worn in my life! (and I was a late 70s-well into the 80s headbanger!!)

Yeah, I know, but what a cute, funny, good-hearted eccentric he was, not to mention how he helped pave the way for so many. I miss him.

When I was a kid back in the '50's my mother would watch his show late on sunday afternoon and me and my brother would be forced to watch it.
After that my father would come in and we'd all watch "Victory at Sea."
