Status: offline 		In keeping with the theme of the other thread, yet removing the partisan attacks, lets just have a thread on the lies Presidents have told, during elections and afterwards.

Start each with "remember when" so and so "promised......."

Remember when Bush promised...

"So when I put my hand on the Bible, I will swear to not only uphold the laws of our land, I will swear to uphold the honor and dignity of the office to which I have been elected, so help me God."

"In my administration, we will ask not only what is legal but what is right. Not just what the lawyers allow, but what the public deserves. In my administration, we'll make it clear there is a controlling legal authority of conscience."

It didnt and it took another President to bring the troops home AND within his first term

Or when Reagan said... "We did not -- repeat -- did not trade weapons or anything else for hostages -- nor will we."

Deleted Clinton cus Lucy got to it first.
