When I was looking, I liked to email a while on CM and if comfortable enough to meet, give him my phone #, talk briefly, and meet.

I was uninterested in long distance so there was no need to jump through the custom pictures/cam hoops as we could meet in person. If a local man was unable to meet for a long time, I lost interest.
