LordRonin -> Branding Supplier Needed (1/11/2012 6:45:15 PM)

Anyone know of a vendor online (can't seem to find one that I trust) that you may know of or used before that provides slave/sub branding irons? Or someone in or near the East Tennessee area that manufactures brands for personal use?
I've seen many diff types of brands and I'm looking for something very specific. Thin and small symbol design, almost wire thin for a very small but very specific hot strike branding. My sources seem to not be in business anymore after all these years so I'm stuck looking for a new source... Attached is example of thin wire hot strike style brand I'm seeking, just not this specific design.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance....
LR~

Hi LordRonin,
Unfortunately I couldn't open the attachment so I'm having to rely on your description.
I advise you not to go for a single strike, especially if you want the brand to remain small and defined. A single strike is problematic as its difficult to get even heat and even pressure over the entire branding iron. You are wise to keep the steel fine, 1/2 millimeter steel will give you an approximate brand width when fully heeled of around 2 millimeters.
I am happy to advise you in private about how to get the best results.
My partner is a scarification artist and not only brands but teaches professionals various methods including preparation and after care.

the doing isn't the problem or the issue. Its getting the actual thin wire brand done for me in the design we seek. That is what I'm seeking help with, in finding someone or someplace where I can get the brand done for me. I've spoken with artist and craftsmen in the area who work with metal but no luck finding a person willing or that feel capable in providing me with the brand. I've found a few vendors online but those brands are not what I'm seeking due to the fact they are not thin gauge wire to provide the thin style brand I'm wanting on my sub. Thank you for the information on the how part, but looking for the actual product.

subshamrok, are you the same person as the op?

My advice was, don't go for a made up brand unless you want a messy scar. If you want to go ahead regardless of that advice then so be it.
