Arturas, I assume your criterion was whether they self-identified as Dommes?

My guess is that the time of day would be critical.  I'm assuming that scammers will be most active during their daytime (our nighttime), and that they will preferentially make Domme profiles because male subs are relatively easily preyed upon.

That makes sense. I was just astounded as to how many of them there were online that time of night.

Well wishes,
Arturas

I think it's a fad to identify yourself as a Domme these days. That's not to say they actually all are. Just like it's a fad these days to identify as an atheist. It's actually something I was talking about to my therapist last week who pointed it out to me. According to her it's the trend to be aggressive and bitter and picking a title to identify with a title that they think shows that. She seems to think it's the economy, a sign of the times.

I think also sites such as c.com attract a huge number of women who use the title of Domme to drum up business, to make money whether it's as a job or as a way to just get men to pay for things or because they're part of the angry young women group.

Now I'm not saying all Dommes on here are like I described above but I do think you have large numbers of such these days and some subs seem to like them so as long as you have others who want such you'll have growing numbers who will come  here.

Thanks also for that insight. I suspect it is a combination of time of day and this trend you talk about as well as the economy.

I appreciate the answers.

I'm sure someone has already mentioned this, but it could be that some people don't log off from the site. Depending on your settings, if I forget to log off, then I might appear to be online at 2 in the morning, when I'm obviously fast asleep dreaming of unicorns.

Dont know about the internets, but in real life I meet women that identify from slave to switch to Domme. A good question to ask that seems to have been touched on, is how many of them are genuinely dominant, and how many are genuinely women? As long as there has been internet meeting places, there have been phonies and frauds, men impersonating young attractive desirable women. Sometimes they ask retarded questions in forums like this one asking "if my boy did X, what would you do to punish him" just to gather ideas from others to wank to, sometimes they are financial predators as noted. I don't think us dominant ladies are increasing in numbers, I think it's just a random sequence of events.

I do think they have a filter on the main page though, where you can choose to only display the members that meet your criteria in terms of gender and orientation.

I would be one of those OLD Dommes you are talking about. Yeah, I'm real. I even have references.

I'm real life, and I went sub > switch > Domme and now I'm really a Domme and genuinely a woman. I just happen to post on message boards on the internet too.

True it's like saying some guys claim to be dominants because they can't get laid otherwise, mind you for quite a few of them even the claim doesn't work...

Well, from that amazing selection I was also amazed at how few female subs there were in the CM world and how many female dominants there are nowadays in the CM world. It seemed nine out of ten females no matter how soft and small and young or old were dommes.

That's because female doms can make money in this lifestyle. Female subs don't unless they go into modeling and such.

Most BDSM personals sites will in very little time be flooded with pro-dommes and money-dommes advertising their "business." If I were running CM, I'd charge them money for running what is basically an advertisement. Some sites do make them pay.

Im not going to say all female doms are like this because I know the lifestyle ones are in there. But they get buried among the pro-dommes who are a dime a dozen.

Excuse me, but I was NOT trying to say I was anything special. I was merely stating that there are such things as Dommes who are not either men posing as Dommes or financially motivated. Be sarcastic if you like, it only makes yourself look childish and snarky.

Last time I was on, there apparentlty was a massive shortage (female doms-male subs ratio), so am glad to hear that's been corrected, lol. M

NBMG,

I do believe you may have misunderstood the intention of my post. Perhaps it was worded in a way that was open to interpretation. I threw the /sarcasm in there so you knew that I was kidding, but I was agreeing with you. It was make belief marvel at the odds of there being not just one, but two real non financially motivated Dommes on the internet. It was make belief marvel that dominant ladies such as this were as elusive as the unicorn. It was kinda intended to poke holes in some people's "no real Dommes on the internet" misconception.

I hope that clears things up! :)
